Yo video poster, this ones for you. Thank you for this!!!!! And secondly, do you have the album version of this song? The thing that Jojo does at the end where he hits five different cymbals in about 1.5 seconds...anyway its freaking crazy and Im wondering where I can find transcriptions for some of this stuff, especially those drum parts. thanks!
Fist heard this in 96 or 97. love it. The guys shooting the video have their heads up their asses though, you don't cut back to the rythm section while a solo is being played.
These guys kick my ass all the way back to humble city! i am a pretty freakin good drummer. Won big competitions, etc. This guy kills me on drums! Insane!
Fuck yes, I finally got to see them LIVE this week and it was just mind blowing... it's been my dream since I discovered this band five years ago. The lineup has changed... Freedom Bremner is taking Dean's place since 2005... but still... it's the best active band, in my opinion.
Man, I had no idea SHT was still playing around! I would have paid the mainstream price of a stadium ticket just to see them, some of the best "NEW" music put out in the past 20yrs. And Fuze... well he's just a beast! Great now I've got to go play this song...
@KicknGuitar Well... they came here, to Argentina... played 3 nights, and the last show, the one I went to, was in this tiny sort of pub called Casa Babylon, a really small place, so it was simply amazing.
Oh...my...God! I've just, right this moment, come across this band and am flabbergast! As a lover of Frank Zappa, Afro-beat and jazz...this band is a perfect blend of my favorite music! and so Energetic!!!
Miles took it from Sly and the Family Stone. Hendrix plays it on 'we got to live together' from band of gypsies. It's from 'Sing a Simple Song' by sly. Learn your history guys
Yes it does, it's been bugging me for the last 10 minutes. But I think it's from a 1985 Miles Davis Album "You're under arrest". Not sure which track though

What I mean is that is me trying to hear myself between two drummers while the bassist is hidden in a corner--the singer really really needs him--and the overrated guitar player sits on a stool. The singer is clearly being attacked by a hostile percussionist. To be fair, how could I expect you to see that. I didn't even see it and I was up there.
Well I can't argue with your perception of the song, but I think it sounds great. The vocals, the percussion, and the guitar. Even if you think they are all dicks. The SHT disc is one of my most prized possessions. I guess that's why they say you should never meet your idols. It can only lead to disappointment. Most of my favorite bands hate each other so this is not a surprise to me. Shit my band mates don't ever really like each other lol...

Just be mindful of whom you idolize. Look within. These are words that I sang by the alleged guitar god himself. Yet he was scared to death of making music. I thought this was ok when I heard it. But when I saw it, and saw a guitar player playing for himself, a singer struggling to survive amidst a barrage of cymbals and toys, and (note this) DIDN'T see the bass player (very important), then I realized what I was doing was miraculous!
But it didn't need to be. It should have not been a firing squad for the singer with the bass player out of sight. That's what I don't understand that everyone misses--even me!
wailflower (Dean)-What you perceive as an artist is experience based. Therefore, YOUR experience as a maker of the music, is different than that of the listener. Obviously you couldn't hear yourself. Does anybody notice how much fucking noise that asshole percussionist is making right next to the singer---(!!!!) and (BTW) How far away he is from the guitar player???
Did that guy run off with your wife or something? Cause if he did, I agree with you he is an asshole. Otherwise, I can't really relate to what you're saying at all. Maybe the 200+ gigs I play a year aren't enough to qualify me to speak on such matters. So I guess you're right, I don't have a clue Fella.
No they (the 200+ gigs) are not. He did nothing to me. Just destroyed good music and a good band because he was listening to guitar groupies instead of making music. You don't have a clue, indeed. Get off your knees, and play your OWN music. Then you WILL have a clue.
I can't wait to know as much as you. Get off my knees and play my own music. What the fuck does that mean? Who's music have I been playin? lol! I think it's cool that you don't like the percussionist. That's your prerogative. I just think it's funny that you expect other people to believe that you know what you're talking about.
Tim, don't you know that having real world experience with a subject doesn't at all qualify you to comment on it....Being on the internets, however, makes everyone an expert....serious business, my friend..
Hey Guy! Thanks for watching. Are you watching? Did you notice the bass player? No. Because he is behind the percussionist. Got a clue yet?
Why is the percussionist on the gig? To make the singer's work more difficult than necessary of course. The rhythm is established with Gene the drummer. Again thanks for watching.
Jojo was the shit when he was in this band.... hell he still is!
