can't beat minder for true british comedy, when i was a kid all i wanted to do was sell second hand motors and do a nice earner. when i got a 1978 4.2 jag xk6 series 2 and smoked hamlets whilst driving round the manor i felt great until i realised it had twin petrol tanks for a reason and a 5'er didn't go very far lol.
i did 500 sovs profit on the jag though so i was well proud of a monkey for a earner.
Bit of a short and disappointing interview; we've heard the "the world is your lobster" story before; they could have asked him something more unusual.
I agree - it is always great to see George but he does have very similar stories to tell each time he is interviewed about Minder. In an interview from Aspel & Co from 1985 where he pretty much tells the same story. This was a primetime show though with only a limited amount of time.
Yes, primetime show - much better was the in-depth interview with Mark Lawson - maybe a Minder fan will post that at some point - its one I would watch over and again.
id love to see a minder reunion show like a one off with both george and dennis
