  • @TheJimmyT1000 ya i live in the town were this was taken and when the new fire engine is out for repairs

  • Call me old fashioned, but that IS what I think of when someone says firetruck! You don't forget your first LaFrance.

  • That truck has a code 3 light bar and siren btw my uncle has a 83 lafrance ima post a vid

Of it next chance I get

  • It has a code 3 light bar and siren my uncle bought a 83 American lafrance and I love it I try to post a vid of it next tome I go to his house

  • Sweet

  • i live waterville and when the new one is out for repairs they take this one back from the school and use it instead

  • @nate93510 Can you tell me if this engine has a q?

  • @jazzbutterworth what is a q? just to ask

  • @nate93510 When I say q, I mean the Federal Q2B. That is a mechanical siren, the one you usually think of when you hear a fire truck. Here's an example: "lacofd light force #181" (should be the first video)

  • Like seagraver said not an open cab, called them canopy cabs in my neck of the woods. When I started we actually stood on the tailboard. Then we got a canopy cab and thought we were styling. Now everyone is inside the cab, safer in the long run but not near as cool. The young firefighters have a tough time believing we stood on the tailboard. Dang young whipper snappers, they have it so easy with nice air conditioned cabs.

  • Do you know where on long island this truck was from?

  • Unfortunately, that is not an open cab. An open cab has no roof.

  • The Atlanta Fire Department ran an engine similar to that at the station near our house up until the early 80's. It's true they were old, but they got the job done!

  • thats old as fuck yo

  • Yea firetrucks in Richmond, Va had those sirens in the 80's

  • Love the ALF's..
