These guys are really jumping to conclusions, especially with the coffins (assuming that is what they really are). These could be there for a response to a nuclear terrorist attack (dead bodies can cause all sorts of diseases), pandemic, natural disaster etc. Everyone complained about how poorly the gov was prepared for Katrina and 9/11, so maybe they want to do a better job next time (and there will be more natural disasters). I still think we live in a police state though.

In the cold war era, nobody thought that they were building shelters because they planned on a nuclear war, they just wanted to be prepared. Large scale disasters can and do happen, there is no reason the gov shouldn't be preparing for one.
