I notice they reversed one of the shots from the film: the shot where 6 looks like he's reaching up for something is actually a reverse of the scene where he's being pulled down towards the Seamstress
If you're used to shooting scenes, police chases and drama in movies, then don't see this. But if you're that kind of peculiar person who likes odd things, then this is the movie for you.
The reviews seem to vary. Ive seen people who gave the movie a 2/5, a 3/10 and a grade C-, but the San Francisco Chronicle gave it a 4 stars, and a yahoo review gave it an A-.
Basically, you have to have the right kind of brain in order to enjoy this movie fully. The reviews vary so dramatically because we all view the world in a slightly different way.
Why do they ALWAYS show 6 when he's yelling "Go back to the source!" I mean, come on! Can't the atleast show him drawing or something...it's was his death...& he was so cool....
like there are other scientists that put the chancellors brain into a different machine that trys to make a new world also the other scientists do the same as the original (sacrifice their souls to make more stitchpunks) but some scientists come with them and help them fight the machines (replacements for 1,2,5,8) and another hero character that teams up with 9
Tim Burton didn't make this, he produced it. Shane Acker made it. And the character design for 9 was released in a short animation in 2005, which took 4 and a half years to make... Little Big Planet came out sometime in 2007. 9 is NOT a rip off. D:
The saddest death, to me, was 6. It was unfair that somebody who viewed the world so differently and was always in their own little world, and had so much to offer, had to die. He was my #1 favorite.
And 5...When they played "Somewhere Over The Rainbow".... T_T
Heck yes, animated movies done right!

I haven't even seen this movie, but I just can't imagine why this movie should get such a low score.

I thought the message was better than the movie. It was also too short. Nevertheless, it was a movie worth watching.
