ehh. its not epic though. it sounds like a stupid love story song for aang and katara. lol. plus it dosnt fit the adventure their in. ++ the mini clips showing throughout are too random. they revealed the blue spirit or whatever zuko was called, too soon. id rather listen to katara evrytime it starts. sorry no offence, its really dumb to me. -_-

Pretty cool. Feels like an actual show opening. It's too bad they never made Wanted Posters for Katara, Sokka and other characters. That'd be a neat way to do an opening; Using a cool song, you should each poster, then a quick montage of the character, then repeat with another character while interspersing some scenes from random episodes.

What I'm saying is that the animation itself is based off of Japanese-style animation. Notice the size of the eyes? Avatar is unlike many Western cartoons in both its content and its art/animation.

Uhhh...that's the whole point of putting the beginning episode at the beginning of the song/vid. It's to introduce basically what's happening--these two kids find this crazy amazing glowy person in an iceberg and this other guy is like ooh light! and then has this evil glare. It sets the tone for who the protagonists/antagonists are and the basic premise of the show. Remember, this would theoretically go in place of the narration Katara has at the start of every episode.

No they don't. Raw japanese animation doesn't come with lyrics of any sort on the opening / eds. It's very rare to see something like that.

It's the subtitling, "Fansub," groups that put lyrics on the opening and ending sections of an "anime."

Well, I chose to immitate what most online anime viewers are familiar with. I know this is grossly asuming that all anime watchers are anti-dub (which is totally untrue, there are some great dubs), but it was my choice as to what source I would mimic. I spent the bulk of the time on the superimposed lyrics. They are there for a reason. They are by no means an afterthought or a stupid error on my part.

I'll say this, you did a very nice job at editing. It came out really nice.

I can't agree with the chosen song, or even the karaoke. But the video editing quality makes up for that. Between your watermark and the karaoke, it really detracts from the video sequences.

You could do better if you used the DVD sources instead of TV caps that way you'd have a better quality video encode and you wouldn't have to try and cover up the Nick watermark with your own.
