dont understand why people say theyre shit live. singer sounds just like the album, drummers always solid, i asume the bass is good ( im no expert ), and the guitars, okay fair enough they dont get it perfect but they have fun on stage and do play well. im not even a big fan of this band but they are not bad live at all!

Dragonforce sounds awesome on CDs. I want to like them. I want to believe they as awesome a band as they are in their albums. But the truth is they are not. There are multiple times during this live where the guitar hits the wrong tunes or are out of beat. They are just not as good live as they are in the studio. For a band, live performances such as the one shown on this videos hurts the band's credibility.

You listen to Andy James's Studio album, and then watch any video of that Guy.. That's real Guitar playing. No Bullshit Notes. No matter how crappy the camera is filming, the real deal comes through. I'm all for supporting the metal, but not some circus act. Really disappointing.

there is an explanation for why they sucked so bad when inhuman rampage came out. They didnt have a band manager and they were doing a show twice a week and travelling the rest with herman as their coordinator. it left them no time to practice. in addition the video they filmed at grasspop 06 they werent wearing feedback. thats why it sucked so bad

All that gave them a bad rep when it came to the solo's or for instance the big whammy pull by li in "Through the fire and the flames". but after that it has gotten better and people now see their talent.

If you listen well you'll find the solo exactly on the recorded one, it just sounds a little different 'cause the touch, the slides and the vibrato notes do not sound every time the same, but this is also the beauty of live performances. ;)
