  • Looks good Jay. Going to have to try this when I have the time.

  • True Pinoys know how to make "cheap" meat taste Super Good! Thats our way of life! *do best with what we have =)

  • Wow! That's delish! Thanks dude.

  • Jay, thank you so much for sharing your expertise! My father used to order this as a takeout treat. I didn't know about washing the beef--I know about chicken, but not beef. Brilliant tip about snipping the beef after skewering them. I want to follow your recipe exactly, cu I'm not an intuitive cook--how un-Filipino, huh? Is it possible to have the measurements for the marinade? How much vinegar, how much soy sauce (looked like a lot), etc. Thanks again. Peace to you and your family. Rebecca

  • Looks like a great recipie! I can't wait to try it. I'll also look into getting one of those indoor grils. Thank you!

  • @ballardgw ..Your country is barely two hundred years old but yet you think you are the authority in BBQ when my people have doing it for a much longer time. You tickle me...

  • Great marinade! I think you should use brown sugar next time. If you ever wanna experiment bro, try adding pineapple, mango, and 7up. Done deal! Peace!

  • Cutie ^.^

  • @ToxicDet0x bitch, ur married!

  • @BreakfastBentoBox Oh Noes!

  • @ToxicDet0x

    teehee.

    ur cute!

sorry for what i said earlier, i was intoxicated...

    by your awesomeness.

    peace.

  • fucker now im hungry ....

  • stronzo....perché non ti comporti come un vero filippino? perché non parli in tagalog?

  • Man I thought you were gonna use a real grill. Its not filipino BBQ it it's not cook on the fire. But it's a damn good marinade, nice job. I like to use Toyumanci.

  • @barbdejun This was Manila style brotha.. where they serve you the raw kabobs and use and indoor grill like mine at restaurants where you cook it yourself for freshness while you socialize and drink.

  • @saviorJay51 With all due respect what you are doing is NOT BBQ. What you are doing is called GRILLING over high heat. BBQ is cooked low and slow over charcoal or wood. (indirect heat)

  • @ballardgw ??..my people have been doing "BBQ" over indirect heat over stones and heated material for over years. Mr. Westerner..I think you need to reevaluate who you are speaking to and consider what kind of culture you are dealing with. I do not go on other peoples pages and tell them that sourly-pickled sauce will make your meat taste better.

  • try using brown sugar...I find it carmelizes alot better that regular sugar. I also add a little cracked pepper corn and a little lime juice. I actually have about 40 of them frozen ready to cook this weekend. mmm mmm cant wait. Thanks for posting this video. Pinoy Pride!

  • no ketchup or tomato juice? i been watching different video how to make BBQ. Its confusing other pple use different ingredients.

  • lol i thought you were piolo pascual

  • @aisa62379 HAHA..you tickle me girl..he is more good-looking than me.

  • @saviorJay51 its probably because of the eyes ..Piolo pascual's Eyes! Kuya, You are good looking I swear :)

  • looks good, gotta try this recipe. it looks like you put a little too much soy sauce though?

  • Hi Jay. I"m in Singapore, making chicken, shrimp and pork BBQ for my girlfriend and friends. Funny, I've just bought a smokey Joe (Apartment living :( ) weber, and looked on line for the marinades. Very timely, and ironic to see you cooking on the same BBQ type :) Thanks for the help!

  • hell yeah ish good man..better than the package stuff

  • dude, I can smell your bbq from california. Damn I gotta make that bbq. Thanks pare....

  • mAT UP STAR CHEF/MMA FIGHTER ITS UR BOY MEL

  • thank you man it taste good

  • Thanks Ja for sharing this. My family grew up eating Filipino food but none of them know the recipes. I've used this one several times and I get nothing but praise, so Good Job! Please share all of your Filipino recipes? I will deffinetly use them.

  • I've tried several bbq recipes and I just end up disappointed. Thank you for sharing your beef bbq recipe, this is the perfect recipe I've been looking for! Thank you thank you. My kids loved it when I made this bbq the other day!

  • Ooo...i ate this before, and always wanted to make it...now i know how LOL ^^

  • Man that makes me miss street food. I will be giving this a try.

  • I don't think I've ever eaten beef barbecue in the Philippines....

  • Really? There is some great beef BBQ stands in Pasay, Manila. There is another good one off the corner of Makati Ave and Burgos St. Beef is harder to come by beacuse of the cost to the street venders.

  • thanks,nice shot

  • hey, im filipno also. i usally put a little bit of sprite in there to give it a kick. sometimes some lemon juice.

  • Oh gosh... I can hear my stomach..... Im sure your BBQ taste awsome.. I can smell it from here... YUMMMMYYYY!!!

  • I hope you put the measurement of the rest of the ingredients and for how long do I need to B-B-Que.

  • MMM! That makes me hungry. I'll try creating the sauce you used to marinate your beef. Thanks! :D

  • filipino BBQ is the best BBQ in the world second is monggolian BBQ and the third is Korean BBQ and fourth is Thai BBQ and Fifth is American BBQ

  • Hi Jay, I going to give it a try! I love trying new recipes!! You are so funny though because you only tell us a half a cup of sugar, the rest you just eye ball and pour!! I'll just have to watch you again as I'm making it so I can see how much!!Look good too, and with summer coming that's all I do is grill!! I'll let you know how it turns out!! Thanks for sharing it with us!!

  • Hey thanks for having an open mind and thinking outside the box.I was wrong about the sugar,it should be more because it's supposed to be a lil'sweet.

  • Okay, I'll try like a hole cup of sugar I guess and see how that is!!

    Have A great Day!!

  • im mexican and i just had my first filipino BBQ

daaammmmm it was the best ever so goooooood!!!!!!

  • Very nice bro!

  • Wash that barbeque down with some rice! I was waiting to make sure that you did that. It 's not the same without rice!

  • C'mon brah..I'm from SolCal.Our drunkness staple we grew up on is carnitas and carne asada burritos (or reg carne asada con tortillas de mais)! You can get it almost on every corner..do you know what California burrito or Cali fries is?

  • lol im from San Diego. so yeah i know what California burrito or Cali fries is. im going to try making this dish, see how i like it. i just figured nothing can be as good as carne azada hahaha but we will see.

  • You're certainly Asian. : ) Work those kitchen scissors! : )

  • now eunice is gonna make me bbq! :)

  • very simple yet appetizing! well done! and the great thing about your recipe is that you used ingredients that you can just look up your kitchen cabinet! i gotta try this one! its mouth watering! maybe ill even try to sell bbq to my neighbors! credits to you man! lols :D

  • I need some help....what are the average amounts of each ingredient? Also, my butcher says that Beef Bottom Sirloin doesn't exist. Is he wrong? All I can find is Top.

How did u find your meat that thin????

  • You can google beef bottom sirloin. It does exist. I don't tell the amount in this dish because I believe marinade should be be how sweet, salty, spicey or savory you want your beef to be and make it you own. Asian market butchers can slice it thin. I can tell you a few tricks if you want.

  • Oh please! I would love some tricks! Teach me Obi-Wan :p

  • Haha! I'm more like Darth Vader..I've turned to the dark.."Your lack of faith is disturbing."*force choke* I'm a Stars Wars geek.

  • lol You don't come across as "one of them". I like those movies too...probably not as much as u though. :p

  • I'm going to my local Asian market later today. If they don't have this kind, is there any other kind that would work well? I'm looking forward to your tricks. I'm making it tonight. Thanks!

  • You can actually freeze the meat until it is partially frozen enough so you can cut it with a knife. By doing this, the meat is stable enough for you to slice it thinly as desired. I have seen them do it in this fashion at my local Asian market and I do it myself. Remember to use premium cuts. You DO need look for fat marblization between the muscle tissue for best taste. Tonight I'm making my BBQ lamb with rosemary, olive oil, salt with asparagus and red wine to drink. Enjoy!

  • So you're making a video for this one too right???? Just say yes
