I hate it wen people think tat snakes r more powerfull than crocodiles, gators, caimans, and gavials. :( TATS NOT TRUE SNAKES LIKE THE ANACONDA EAT SMALL CAIMANS. But they cannot eat adult sized crocodiles because they know tat a adult crocodile can easily bite them in half. :)
Watched this again, then realized the voice-over said as big as 15 ft. long. He ain't been in my swamps! The Hillsborough River Basin (near Tampa, FL) alone has more than 60 over that length with about 2 dozen at least 17 feet.
I followed this in the Orlando Sentinel at the time. The neighbors would have been crazy to leap into dark water where a 12 foot alligator was at night. It's amazing that the police went in and rescued him.
He did survive, but was found wading in the same lake a year later. I believe he was committed for psychiatic care.
poor guy, Does anyone know if he lived? and why didn't the witness help him or the police right away instead of taking 30 min. the witness could have done somthing instead of just wacthing him! I seems thats all those people did!
The man was a crackhead, high at the time, slogging through a swampy shoreline. If the temps were just five degrees warmer the gator would've had him for supper. Crackhead lost an arm, got bit in the shoulder and literally lost a piece of his ass to the gator. Sadly, they destroyed the gator.
IMO they should of given the gator a medal, a warm pool, and all the crack & meth dealers he could eat!
