It also mentions her taking up fencing at age 85 but didn't say how long she continued it, it's also reported she enjoyed tennis, swimming, rollerskating, piano, and opera, although didn't specify at what age she did these activities.

The reason why Noah and Methuselah lived to their 900's is because years were shorter. So the average age was 300 or something. So in real life, they both lived to about 106 or something.

Another possible reason is that they just kept a pattern going, and that it didn't matter. _ begat _ and _ lived 867 years. _ then begat _ and _ lived 453 years...see where i'm going? It was possibly a filler to move on with the story faster.

@viego215 When my dad went to the nursing home, because of dementia and becoming combative, impossible to control at home, I looked at the people all around, propped up in their chairs, medicated, eating boring food, and prayed for a stroke or pneumonia to take me before I outlived my mind. My friend's mother drank , smoked, laughed, never went to the gym, drove her own car, cooked her own meals, went out with friends, and died suddenly of a stroke @ 82. Not bad. (Trying to cheer you all up)
