  • reading some of the comments i can tell that some have not seen season 1-6 and, or payed much attention to what was going on in the show it's called Dexter for that reason it is about Dexter like Season 1 Ep.1 DEXTER you should start there

  • "We kept it confidential, even from the cast"

I'm willing to bet money on the fact that absolutely EVERYONE involved woth the show already saw that twist coming a mile away. Just like us.

What happened to you, Dexter? You used to be so good. Not "Breaking Bad" good, mind you; but still pretty great on your own right.

Now you are complete and utter shit.

We still have the first two seasons and Season 4 to remember the old you, at least.

  • Dexter was our fav until this sh@#-pi@# season. After tonight's finale it's good-bye Showtime --we won't miss you!

  • Absolute total and utter shit writing. They have DESTROYED the once great show DEXTER. Season 5 stunk, and season 6 is a huge steaming pile of Shite!

  • Well, I don't think I'm going to be use to hearing my first name by the end of this season.

  • HA I was right... Also anyone else catching on that Dexter season 6 is an homage to Carrie? Starry stage with blood pouring on people, Creepy religious parent figure. the shrink was in Carrie. There should still be a Violent fatal car crash and a fiery death scene with a lot of deaths coming.

  • @CallMePukeface thanks i realized it after , great season this one :)

  • Sorry. I love Dexter, but this was just too obvious. I really hope the 2 last seasons are better than this.

  • @FoxyBlues Totally. I was like "Am I a genius or are people just dumb ?" the whole week

  • Great "twist" everyone, & their mother, & Hellen Keller saw it coming over a month ago. Thanks for ruining this once great shiow!

  • Season 7 better be Dexter and Brian duo all season. Or else I'm not watching anymore.

  • this is the wrost twist ever

seasons 1 2 and 4 are the best

  • When the writers have to explain what they are attempting to show us then something is wrong.

  • Say what you want, Dexter is the shit. End of story.

  • Not everyone realized that Gellar was imaginary until the end of "Get Gellar", so can you people who did please keep your condescending comments to yourself and let us enjoy the rest of this amazing season? We're happy you all "knew it all along", but it did shock some of us.

  • really unfortunate that great shows like breaking bad dont get as much attention as this. i loved this show for the 1st 2 seasons and s4 but 3 was truly hard to watch. 5 was awful with a bullshit ending and this tho it got off to a good start has been pointlessly shit. Quinn is being an ass for no reason and it should have ended with his heart to heart with deb. bringing the itk back for that episode was pointless(as was the episode).the twist was horrible too and easily seen at the 2nd episode.

  • If the show doesn't improve or if the next two seasons that Showtime bought are like this, you'll find me over at Breaking Bad where the unpredictable thrills truly never stop and the consequences of each character's actions keep viewers on the edge of their seats! Every character is fully developed and complicated, and each episode is full of bizarre twists and seriously fun dialog.

  • If what you say is true, then the director is not adequately portraying such fine distinctions. This season is not up to the quality of earlier seasons. It's slow and not much happens. It drags on... Seriously tho does the show have new writers?

  • If Dexter never saw Gellar walk into the campus building, then can you explain the scene where Dex and Travis watch Gellar walking on the sidewalk and decide to go in? Travis says something like "there he is" and the camera zooms closer to show us Gellar. Dexter and Travis jump from the car and go into the building Gellar entered. The elevator Dex is riding in comes to a halt and Dex says "He knows I'm here." If Dex never saw Gellar, who is he talking about?

  • It was obvious to me from the first episode, but when I learned he was a real person, I rethought it. But, turned out I was right all along.

  • This doesn't make sense! How is it then that, together, Travis and Dexter watched Gellar walk across the campus? Dexter saw Gellar.

  • @semullarkey dexter never saw him

  • Next they will be chanting “His name was Robert Paulson”

  • I find it hard to believe that the directors didn't know, or everyone would just go along with Olmos when he said "No, I can't drink coffee" or "She can't look at me!" The viewers guessed that Gellar wasn't real in the second episode. How is it that the people working on the show didn't figure it out until Ep 9?

  • You thought Gellar was alive? NOPE, Chuck Testa!

  • Horrible season, horrible show. Jump the shark at its finest.

  • @FangBangerable Go watch twilight if you may.

  • @TheVrdlfe

No thanks, I prefer some serious business like Boardwalk Empire and Sons Of Anarchy.

  • despite the fact that Geller was Travis's imagination was pretty obvious...this season is one of the best ones so far...

  • Well, I did not expect that twist. And I'm really enjoying this season.

  • i guess im the n00b :( i saw the bleeding head and the other clues but i didnt piece them together until it was too late

  • The "dark passenger" stuff is way overdone at this point, the lines including it are getting really cheesy.

Also, how about relying on good, suspenseful writing instead of "OMG TWISTS"? A twist is nothing without a good buildup, and the buildup to this one was slow, padded and predictable.

But hey, I think this season is better than 5 by a long shot, and the next 3 episodes have the potential to be really good now that the whole "twist" nonsense is out of the way.

  • So essentially Travis chained himself to the floor hoping that somebody would figure out about the abandoned church to set him free? wtf lol

  • I don't go on forums, and I was pretty much onto this by the cafe scene. Also, when they had Gellar start magically bleeding out of his head, I was pretty much positive he wasn't real.

I'm not complaining about this season though, it's good. But it's also disappointing to get a good season from a show that constantly delivers fantastic ones.

  • really twisted show

  • No matter how one feels about the twist, 0:39 was still a cool scene.

  • The actors didnt know? Bullshit.

  • I knew the moment of the waitress scene that's in this video. It was specifically shot so that Gellar wasn't even acknowledged by a waitress whose job is to constantly check on her customers. The kitchen scene was just the icing on the cake. I honestly thought they made it obvious on purpose so that you could analyze things as if Travis was doing everything (because he most likely was). It was great to see the irony of it all and Travis' changing psychological state.

  • Louis is the other killer. Notice he has the same clothing Geller has, and the hand from the Icetruck killer that he has is very ominous. He's also become too close with Batista's sister. Maybe he kills her in an upcoming episode, and he is revealed as the second killer? It would explain why the woman claimed that she heard 2 voices...and usually with shows, the character that is "too good to be true"-in this case, Louis- turn out to be evil

  • They fooled me good!

  • Hurr hurr hurr, the viewers never saw it coming hurr! Phuck that. The biggest surprise this year was the return of Brian...and that was a bullshit one episode cameo!

  • eventhough i figured it out earlier, i was really waiting to see how they would end up revealing it if my guess was true, and it was pretty cool

  • I'm hoping after this predictable and obvious plot twist this season will have a big payoff at the end.

  • Well it was a shock to me, but looking back, it was painfully obvious

It's kind of like one of those moments when you're like "It's on the tip of my tongue" and then when someone tells you, all you can think is "WHY DIDN'T I KNOW THAT?!"

  • @theinfectiondrummer Hah, my feelings exactly. It was there all the time and I just didn't catch it.

  • this season is awesome, dexter just keeps getting better!!

  • I was surprised when I found out... lol. But what about that lady Travis released? She said she heard two voices... hmmmm....

  • @LukasCatkey *sigh* why do so many people get this wrong.....she said she heard a man (Travis) kept referring to another man as Professor, but she never said she heard two voices.

  • @LukasCatkey

he probably does a different voice when he talks as him. I dont see it as a dark passenger. more as a split personality. That phrase has just stuck in the show since season 2

  • Comment removed

  • @LukasCatkey I mean...did they really expect us to believe out of all the time she was held hostage, she never ONCE heard Gellar talk. This was especially unbelievable, given we know how much Gellar likes to talk. But yeah, go back and watch the scene again. She never hears two voices. She only hears Travis, and assumes there is two men because he is talking to another person.

  • @LukasCatkey No she didn't, check the scene once again

  • @LukasCatkey a lot of people change their voices and manner with split personality.

  • @LukasCatkey

I was curious about that as well. I'm wondering if maybe Travis's voice sounded different outside the room. So she mistook it for 2 voices.

  • Comment removed

  • @LukasCatkey she said that she heard him calling the other professor she didn't mention different voices, maybe travis wasn't speaking for gellar at all, she could "tell it was the younger one" who kept saying he was sorry, which was obviously because if he was "calling the other professor" it means that he was just doing what he was told

  • Back in my day Dexter was a great show.

  • I didn't catch that Gellar didn't exist xD

  • Travis wasnt even aware that "gellar killed" his sister. he must truly be mentally ill.

  • its not the worst season but it is by far the busiest season. from interns, to quinn's out bursts, to la guerta and the old guys sinister actions (they should both be killed by dexter), the ice truck killer hand, deb's issues/promotion, new detective, brother sam, doomsday. Its just so many things going on. too many levels that will undoubtedly be rushed to mesh together by the end of this season or ignored till the next.

  • This!

  • Personally I would have had no idea Gellar was imaginary if I hadnt read the speculation on the forums. It never crossed my mind til I saw people talking about it.

  • I honestly thought Gellar was real till this episode to tell the truth...

But it all makes sense after watching it...:D

  • @lowkaixuan01 Me too haha :D

@Jimbodawg Well, I don't really think that Dexter actually saw Gellar, he just thought Travis saw him

  • What was the bit when Dexter was spotted by Gellar on the balcony of the church and he said something along the lines of, "He's seen me now.."?

  • it was too obvious. Gellat never talked to someone else except for Travis. The victims never looked at him, just Travis. Travis had to to all the dirty work, interacting with the victims etc. The waitress didn´t serve Gellar, just Travis. Gellar sits in a public bar, shortly after the "horsemen murder", a few feet away from a newspaper stand that has a giant picture of him on the front page and nobody cares. Whenever Gellar could´ve been seen, Dexter doesn´t watch or is busy with sth else. c´mon

  • @Kamikazepit I never saw it coming, good but not acceptable points, for discovering a figment of a TV characters imagination.

  • @Kamikazepit its funny then how no one came forward about this until they revealed it. it was a fucking awesome twist. quit trollin.

  • @NickkPagano check the subcentral.de forums, we´ve been talking about it for weeks. Oh wait, you need a foreign language to do so...

  • @NickkPagano everybody on youtube was talking about this since episode 5, go look for yourself lol dduuuhhh!

  • @Kamikazepit I feel so stupid now. I didn't see it coming tbh XD

  • @Kamikazepit How do you explain when Gellar walks into the office where the victim with the guts ripped out and stored in the ceiling, Dexter sees him walk into the office as well as Travis.

  • @bitchslapper12 Did you even watch the scene....Travis is the only one who sees him walk into the building.. Dexter has his head back with his eyes closed yawning or something

  • @hallalchickenmeat Oh, I did not notice that.

  • @bitchslapper12 nope, it was how halalchickenmeat said.

  • @Kamikazepit Its obvious because u fucking people go into much detail to it.

  • That is total bullshit... Travis DOES NOT have a Dark Passenger... he has Split personality!

  • @Laydback5 if it was only that, Travis wouldn't see Geller, he would simply turn into Geller. So it is both, dark passenger and split personality.

  • everybody is entitle to their opinion, but I really do not believe this is the worst season. I did catch on that Gellar didn't exist, but I still love how the writer waited to the end of the episode to let us know....still love dexter and I hope it never ends...I am already excited about the next two seasons coming up and i just received the sets of all the past seasons....I love dexter!!!!

  • @pklemonade no one cares, really

  • Being a showrunner is an impossible job. I think this guy is doing an exceptional job of it! And this video really cleared things up for me, because I didn't fully flesh out the twist until I saw this :P

  • @AnonymousAnimus Ultra Extreme Super Tactical Facepalm!

  • Do they think all of their viewers are retarded? It's been obvious since the beginning that Gellar was just Travis' imagination. Get it together Showtime.

  • @KarioDudeRBN everyone thinks knows they know everything after the even has already happned.

its not called prediction, its post diction. you are like a false prophet in gellars word haha

  • @KarioDudeRBN You just been reading the forums to much that's why.

  • @MrKillerNine I don't go to any forums. I don't like reading what other people are thinking because it might ruin the experience of the show. Instead, the writers ruined this themselves by making it painfully obvious.

  • @KarioDudeRBN Who knows, since your from the internet how do i know that your not gonna on the forums?

  • @KarioDudeRBN Also since your bitching about how obvious it was then try to make the next Dexter season not obvious then.

  • i do not understand didn't dexter and travis saw geller enterring the hospital in episode 9 ?

  • @scufitaverde Only Travis saw him. He was out of view by the time Dexter looked up.

  • @KarioDudeRBN thanks thanks

  • Definitely isn't the worst, season 5 was by far the worst.

  • @richthebast yes 5 was definetly the worst this i sactuallz verz good

  • It was obvious that gellar wasn't real from the first few episodes, but not sure why people are calling this the worst season ever. I've been really enjoying it, love this tv show :)

  • Funny that the two scenes Buck mentions are the ones that tipped most viewers off that Gellar wasn't real. Why couldn't Imaginary Gellar drink an imaginary cup of coffee? Maybe most viewers wouldn't have guessed the twist if those scenes had been written differently. And if Gellar had been a bit more hands-on. Showing Gellar killing people - like we saw Brian kill Shady Norm - and manipulating objects, even if only in Travis' presence, would have made the twist more surprising.

  • I kinda figured it was heading in this direction, but I'm quite concerned about what this means for the rest of the season. They've been very careful to treat faith/belief/religion with great respect up until this point, I don't know how you move forward without trashing it.

  • @Deadmansparty2002 it's kind of hard to trash religion when the main character who opposes religious/faith views is a serial killer.

  • @seanpalladino True, but if you look at Brother Sam for instance, the character is an example of the positive effects of faith and religion. DDK is obviously an example of the negative effects of belief, but there's a line between negative and religious fundamentalist which, if not handled properly, could be taken in a bad way.

  • @Deadmansparty2002 well, just to be clear, i am an atheist, so i have an understanding that all dogmatic, religious views are bad for society. that doesn't mean that we can not be nice to one another, as Brother Sam had done. there is a difference between dogmatic religions and non-religious ethics. :)

  • @seanpalladino For the sake of labeling my viewpoint, I'm agnostic. I understand that dogmatic viewpoints are bad for society, but they're not exclusive to the religious. There's a point where religious fundamentalism and atheism where the majority of humanity falls and I think it's irresponsible to not put that forward in the show.

  • :D not aware i knew Cellar not real since 2sc episode :D

  • it all makes sense aaaaahhhhhhhhhhh
