  • THAT'S it's a really fucking good tutorial !!! Thank you very much ;)

  • get rid of the shitty music .....

  • @hunter1801 why is your heart soooooooooo coooooooold?

  • @novriltataki Because I didn't learn how to dash block that stupid ice clone

  • In the B12212 combo I can never seem to get the 212 part to come out. He just does the B12 and that's it.

  • @ChaosKnightXD I have the same problem (( it just stops after B12, or land as B121 move. Arr… it makes me sad (

  • @Archyarts I discovered a method to do it since the timing has to be really precise. Once you do the B12 input, keep pressing 2 until you see Sub Zero start to begin the string and then press 12 and the slide. It seems to be a good consistent way to force the combo to come out.

  • Im having the same issue. Did u figure it out?

  • Very useful

  • For Sub's mixups, I've found 2,1 ice clone with the option of an ice slide or dash and grab afterwards very rewarding. It seems to help keep people 'honest' when they expect your 22 pressure.

  • Right after the U1 the B12 is what gets me ur stepping into that right? I can never catch him before he falls after I step in

  • @WarriorOfSeaHD yes i do a quick dash. sub zero's combos are not hard at all.

  • basically I have been playing the game for like a hour or two. I can pretty consitantly get 214 slide. I don't know why I can't just as easily do 212 slide. Next in the BNB combo I can do everythign but before the NJP but not what is before 214 slide. or 212 slide.

  • the x-ray is always coming out so slow... why is this?

  • @l3lue2ain cuz you hold the buttons?

  • Do one for kitana :) this helped me so much, now my game is so much better. The clone advice and wiff back1 helped the most.

  • Man, great guide! I read the tom bradys guide but nothing like see it on video.. thanks man, u should definitely do more of the others chars! thanks again! :D

  • I've been practising this combo (and the 224 variation of it) for some time now and I get the first 9 hits but have trouble going into the slide at the end of it, which isn't a big deal as far as damage is concerned but I am obviously not pushing them as far into the corner as I could be. What would you say the best thing to do as far as spacing is concerned if you fail the ice slide (as I have a an annoying habit of doing)? Should I just dash up and ice clone?

  • @athlete117 do all the inputs in a row quickly, don't wait like in other fighting games.

  • @novriltataki Thanks, man. I've kind of worked out the kinks now. I was mashing the slide command because I was paying too much attention to the animation on screen and instinctively trying to sync my inputs with it. Since I stopped doing that, I am pulingl the whole combo off relatively consistently. I've just got to completely remove that habit of mashing the bf4.

  • Great sub-zero guide, found it really helpful. Any plans to make videos for for other chars?

  • oooooh chinese ninja warrior

  • As a MK philistine, something is bugging me : why are ppl talking about crossups in this game since you block with a button ?

  • @00Morm00 Because it sound's fighting game-y :D

  • @00Morm00 Crossing up isn't only to mess up blocks. You can mess peoples attempts to punish you with crossups. Although in this video it seems like he uses it at that one point just to get the enemy back into the corner which is one of the things you're looking to do with Sub-Zero

  • Thanks for posting this vid!!! i'm new to fighers and this helps so much being able to break it down into segments!

  • helpful advice there :D

  • The Kano one is still my fav

  • *cough* Scorpion's still better *cough*

  • FUUUUH-REEEEEEEEEEEZING VIBRATIONS.

  • why i was sure this music would be here?

  • i heard the first piano note of this and was sold

  • @novriltataki Like yeah, after I suggested it way back when. I wnt like 50% of all the profits you make from informative/humourous videos, because now I'm like an evil CEO or some shit.

  • Man, I ALWAYS crack up when I hear that song.

  • For someone who dislikes the game you sure make some helpful videos about it man, thank you.

  • @AKImeru I never said anything about loving/hating MK. I just said that given the track record of the developers, competitive players should wait for it to prove itself before giving it any credit.

  • @novriltataki In your eyes, has it come close to proving itself?

  • @Jumpingmelonz It's better than I thought and Subs is fun to play, but it still has many stupid things that need to be fixed. I really don't like random Xrays that are safe on block and do tons of damage, and the online sucks so I don't know what to tell you. Let's hope for the best.

  • @novriltataki Honestly, I agree with the x-rays, but since I've never played another human in the game (I play ps3 and my friends are haters XD) I wouldn't know about the other two. The parry glitch looks really...spam-able, at least on the stupid. But then again, the right way of counter it (projectile for CS-Z, and a grab for the other 3) could make people less likely to attempt it, unless they don't learn not to it every time, which which is bound to happen.

  • @novriltataki The online is definitely lacking some fine-tuning. But, if you're a true MK fan (I am), then it's worth the hassle. Most of my competitive play is done via 1v1, which doesn't suffer *too much* lag....at least when compared to the King of the Hill mode.

  • I love comments like this.

Novril wanted the game to be good, I think most people with any common sense did, it's just that the MK series has only ever had one competent game in history, and it was still a mess, mixed with lots of issues in the demo, it wasn't looking pretty.

It didn't turn out as bad as most people thought.

the game still needs things fixed, thankfully they've already proven on Xbox that online has had a lot of things quick-fixed, though they still need an offline patch

  • @animekid200 I will have to disagree with theMK only had one good game", I would've agreed if you said "MK only had one good competitive game". Deception and Deadly Alliance had some really fun single player elements, and Shaolin Monks was a blast to play in Co-Op mode. I don't even own a copy of MK 9 yet, and it seemed to me that Novril didn't enjoy the game. That's all. I am completely aware of the game current flaws and I'm still holding my money, I just pointed out what I got from his videos

  • "MK only had one good competitive game"

    That's exactly what I meant.

We're talking about a Fighting game here, being a good competitive game is what matters as a fighting game.

Shaolin Monks is a beat em up in my eyes.

On day 1, Novril uploaded a video saying every fighting game should have test your luck mode, when the demo was out he posted a video showing the infinite blockstrings saying that serious players should wait to see if their claims of competitive balance were true before they buy.

  • Eh up cap, I think this makes me 2 for 2 with music suggestions now. Don't I get collab cred? Bwahaha!
