  • You want the Cue ball to contact the diamond point or do you aim at the diamond? Pretty sure you want the cue ball to contact that point but I feel that makes this test more inconsistent, at least for me.

  • When you test the table for speed or to see how fast the cloth is you said you like to draw and depending on how much draw you get you know if the table is playing fast or slow this will work but there is something that you forgot to mention.

You have to beaware of what type of cue ball is on the table. Example, playing on a bar table some cue ball have a piece of metal or a magnet so its able to come out the return end others wiegh more. The one's that wiegh more are harder to draw.

  • You can try these methods, showed in the video or you can simply use the BUBBLE TUBE. :) Don't you think?

  • Do you mean perfect centre, dead centre, and I mean perfect centre?

  • This reminds me one time where I was playing on a table that wasn't leveled, balls would stop and then roll a bit...

  • In the first test, there is no way that you can be 100% sure that you are hitting perfect centre ball, any amount of side will ruin this test altogther. You need to set up a plant to hit so side spin then makes no differance and you can really see how the table is playing.

  • Not to sound like I'm bragging, but I know I can hit dead center cue ball 100 percent of the time. None of these tests are perfect, but a starting point none the less.

  • tend to agree with force here, even a good amateur should be able to hit a ball 100% center several times in a row. Bit of talent, lots of practice. Your, MrCueSport, idea about spin doesn't make much sense to me to be honest as spin transfers from cue to object ball. It's in the details baby! Greetings to all from Belgium. Billiards in all it's forms is huge here.

  • @MrCueSport if you can hit the cue from top cushion back to the center of your tip in straight line than you can be pretty sure you are hitting 99.999% center of the cue ball

you should try it and practice to the point you can do it many times in row, or you really dont know what you are doing with the cue and you will hit the wall at one point, im fairly good amateur player, played only couple years seriously and i can do it, im sure forcefollow can do it all day long

  • @nNorthWestern I completely agree. My friend and I have a warm up cue-ball test we run where we cue down the centre of the table, keeping our bridge in exactly the same spot and we see how many times we can do that before the cue ball has moved enough so that the stroke will give enough english to throw it off. My record is nine!

  • I'm sure you've mentioned this in a previous video, but I can't remember when. It might be a good idea to try to explain (at least a little) how speed effects the reflective angle of a rail. my experience has been if you hit it soft it will go long, if you hit it to hard it will be very short. Also it seems the perfect speed is about a half table harder than lag speed. please give your take on this forcefollow, thanks

  • When testing the rails, should I put any running English on the cueball?

  • no.

  • w00t second comment,,
