hay man rember the wires i told you about this explains why it has two wire for thr carge i did it a gae the thing a body and it went about 40 feet in the air and air hogs is still sending me a new one
slowly spin the rotor in your hand and see if the main gear and the motor ger are meshing properly, sometimes they will be to far apart, and the teeth will slightly grind once each rotation.
the added resistance means the helicopter can't generate the required lift to get into the air. if it is your problem exchange the helicopter, thir is no easy fix.
@taoistflyer can you tell me how the RC controls work in relation to the motors?...I just found one at a thrift store for a dollar...it was in bad shape but have it all soldier back together...It seems like when I give it thrust both rotor and the main blade spin together...Is that normal? The right control doesn't appear to do anything that I can tell...Is it suppose to control the rotor in the back only?

@my1story on 2 channel helis the right stick only controls the tail motor speed for turns, the left stick controls the up down movement, it is waited so that it should constantly fly forwards.
with 3 channel helis the right stick controls forward reverse motion as well as spin
on 4 channel helis the left stick controls up down and spin and the right stick controls forward reverse and roll
@taoistflyer: so on this 2 channel heli I have...would you think that the fact that the left stick makes both motors spin means that there's probably a short either on the circuit board or wires?
@my1story probably on a single rotor helicopter moving the left stick up should make the main motor spin and the tail motor spin as well to cancel out torque. the right stick should speed up and slow down the tail motor.
it comes with tutorials that will teach you what you need to know, it takes some time to get used to the interface, but it is really user friendly. anyone can learn how to use it.
I got my girlfriend using it now, she's a good woman.
I saw your animation and I am very impressed, it was very smooth, all of the models wear amazing, the texturing was great, it had to be a long render.
thx. 22 hours , mental-ray renderer , network render ,pc 1: AMD opteron 3.1 GHz, 2 Gb RAM; pc2 AMD dual core 1,8 GHz, 1 Gb RAM. for texturing there are tricks to use small textures and make them look very good, and WMM filters helped alot
Wow. That's wicked cool. I just bought Fairy today. Never flew one before--- thing hit every wall and living creature in the apartment before the battery died out. It'll probably die soon as my daughter and cat seem keenly interested in it. Great vids of the heli.
we really didn't get to enjoy the product. The first time he tried to fly it it spirolled to the ground and it broke. Went to take it back and they didn't want to return it or give us a refund. So not a great product. Also in big bold lettering it sould state that it is for experianced flyers. Or change the age range.
Thanks so much for the schematics. My younger brother's heli stopped working so I took it apart and found the battery leads were disconnected. Just wanted to double-check where the correct soldering points were.
Check your tail rotor make sure it isn't cracked and that their are no hairs on it, also make sure the tail blade doesn't rub against the motor. more forward flight speed will help as well, to gain ff speed you can add nose weight or twist your tail.
Another suggestion, switch the tail rotor with one of the extras, if nothing else works glue the tail on, I know it sounds strange but the tail can slip on the motor rod at high RPMs, I've had to glue on a tail before because of this, and it helped. will it still hover while spinning.
It may be a problem with your main rotor, if the fly bar is to tight it will cause problems. you may want to take out your main rotor and shaft to see if it is bent. the tail motor may also be rubbing the back of the shaft on the frame.
Exactly the same thing happenned to me. Also changed tail rotor motor from another broken heli and still no movement. After some tests I discovered there was always DC on the tail rotor wires (even when no throttle). The fault was that the transistor that goes to the tail rotor wires was fault and shorted. It was a bit hard to replace it for another one I got from the pcb of a diff (but compatible) heli, but it worked perfectly afterwards.
hi i need your help my micro 2ch infared helicopter has a problem. when i turn on the heli and the machine to the right channel the helicopter's rotors start spinning without me moving the throttle stick the only time it stops spinning is if i turn of the heli. it does stop when i switch of the controller but it takes a few seconds. can you please help me fix this problem. thankyou by the way it is a wasp micro helicopter
Something is sending a signal to the helicopter, their are lots of infrared devices out their so you may want to try it in another location. But it may be more then just interference, you may have a bad helicopter or transmitter, if it spin when the transmitter is off, and it dos it at another location, return it for a new one.
Yes you can, their is a black rod that goes through the canopy that goes behind the micro chip, and 2 white rods on the top, you will have to cut the black rod, you may have to cut the white ones depending on how much glue they used at the factory, it is easy to super glue back on.
yes but you have to cut the black rod on the bottom, and depending on how much glue the factory put on the white ones you may have to cut them as well, but they are easy to super glue back together.
This video is fantastic, i have a hd 3 of theese helis now, Official piccoz, that broke the day i got it, and 2 copys, they both broke 2, is this one much more stable and crash durable ???, its look pretty cool, thanks for the video, 5 stars
Thank you, I had 2 picco z helis, they both broke in less then a week. This ones plastic construction means it is moor precisely tuned and that it stays tuned over time. You can also easily change out your battery or anything else you might want to modify in it.
thank you. If you do modify yours, get some video of it, I would love to see what you do with it. My next mod will probably be a stronger main and tail motor so i can carry moor wait.
I've seen some nice custom carbon frames. my main modification goal is to make it a fully functional 4 channel helicopter, i know it's possible, I have a design, and i am talking with a few companies about special parts i'll need. It'll take some money, time, and some trial and error but I know i can make it work.
Now that was a very useful video. I was thinking the other day "it would be useful to know what these wires on the circuit board do..." I'll know exactly where to look know when problems arise in specific areas!.
how can i make my on
