  • Japan FTW! you are Japanese though, right? Your hair and glasses look a lot like something a typical Japanese guy would wear. Either way, awesome drumming!

  • Just a great drumcover of difficult drum work, played on a briliant song which only The Beatles could have made. Nice work.

  • at 2:04 was awesome

  • Geez how many people watching at 2:06 go, "Did I just see that??" Great cover of one of my favorite Beatles songs.

  • i could listen to this all day!!

  • Ringo Starr is probably the most underrated drummer in rock history.

    Great cover!

  • Very Nice! I always felt this was one of Ringo's best drum song and yet it doesn't get mentioned very often. Great song! Great Drums! And you did a great job! Thank you for posting this :)

    Nick Bukuvalas

  • awsome dude!!!!!!

  • 1966 was Ringo's best year as a drummer, bar none

  • Beautifully performed Ringo would be proud Im sure.

  • Ringo is brilliant sylist, the fills are like a third melody line. To this day drummers still don't fill in the way he did.Not playing an instrument that played notes perse, and working with 3 of the most strongest melody writers in commercial music in history made his playing musically fit. More like a percussionist than a 1234 time keeper.Even in his earliest recordings he was incorporating this unique style.

  • And Ringo Can't drum..............REALLY?

  • cualquier baterista es mejor que ringo.

  • @FOTOCHOCK paro jamas mas grande!!!!!!

  • i always hate people who say that ringo starr was a horrible drummer

sure, he's not the greatest of all time (that would be Bonzo)

but stuff like "Tomorrow Never Knows", "Come Together" and "She Said, She Said"

he's definetly in the top 10.

  • @MrBlackOps291 And when you think of just the physicality of drumming. Ringo's 5'6"(ish) frame hit those drums good and hard. He's got some nice power. This track and Tomorrow Never Knows, Helter Skelter, some nice loud drumming there.

  • Excellent drumming man!

  • OMG... incredible

  • dude we gotta get you on the Leno show...youre too much fun

  • totaly nailed it

  • I watched you do this before I went to Best Buy to check out their instruments. I do not play the drums, but with this video in mind I tore those drums apart, no kidding. I had no idea I could play so well. I also played Ringo's solo from "The End". And those flourishes you did at 2:05 were fantastic.

  • Kozyy--- You're great! Are the fills yours or Ringo's verbatim?

  • And that's why I'm subscribed to this guy.....if you ever get a chance can you find the song Kaleidoscope by a band called Ride. If you could get that song out on drums, that would be great, i have yet found anyone that can master that song, but i think you could ....

  • Great stuff. I am learning how to play drums at a ripe age, and seeing your video gives me a better notion of how to play. What type of snare and hi-hats are you playing? Thanks.

  • Clm - I couldn't have put it better myself. I can't believe the ignorance on the matter, often from quite educated people.

  • It always drives me nuts when people who have never sat down at a kit make an ignorant comment about Ringo being a lousy or sub-par drummer. Dude was one of the best rock drummers ever, and John Lennon wasn't just saying that to make Ringo feel good but was dead on accurate.

Excellent work BTW. That kit sounds fantastic.

  • Loved it.

  • Again, im just a jealous guy...

  • Flawless  >=)

  • This is probably Ringo's best work In my eyes anyways. definitely a fun Beatles song to cover as a drummer.

  • 2:05 sick stick skills (SSS) :D

  • Very well done. I am a guitar player who has covered some of the Beatles songs and you are spot on..very good.

  • Wow!! Awesome man! Perfect.

  • How about "I'm Down"?

  • Man, this is awesome.

    Congrats!

  • whoa... now I have a higher appreciation of Ringo!

  • Tell me, those disrespectful to Ringo Starr-- How much better could the other drummers who you say are better than him have performed just a bit better than he did for each of the masterpieces of the Beatles?

  • LOVESIT!

  • well done, especially like the stick spins within the fills at the end!

  • excelente :D

  • Wow! Loved watching this. You've captured Ringo's drum part so well.

  • That's the genius of Ringo, made difficult drumming patterns sound EASY. You nailed this song, awesome stick work!

  • @SteveResin I'm still waiting for batmankozzy to cover Ringo's brilliant and underrated drumming in 'Sexy Sadie' and 'Blue Jay Way'.

  • Damm good mate.

  • Comment removed

  • perfect.

  • Ever notice how almost nobody covers this song, thats why

  • sick

  • Wow, totally perfect! And I agree with the other comment below, "What the hell did you do at 2:07?" Nice stick spinning! Are you in a band?

  • What the hell did you do a @ 2:07? Bloody brilliant!

  • This is one one my favorite Beatles Songs, I like it for the wild drum Beat Yeah!

  • talented people make it look effortless.

  • My favourite Ringo drumming and you nailed it. Keep up the good work :)

  • Very Impressive love it, love ringo and his work, love this song, and love the drums, but you do it very well just just ringo. peace. beatles forever

  • With drumming like this, you wonder why he has sound proofed walls.

  • My beatles covers are not on par to this :(

  • Excellent Cover!

  • Excellent job! I'm a drummer myself - and Ringo is my all-time favorite and biggest influence - and I've never seen anybody REALLY play like him. Until now! That is the closest I've ever seen anybody get to Ringo's feel/fills/etc. I'm very impressed.

  • I've been a professional drummer for over 40 years & this song has always been one of my favorites to play! Very Nice Job!!!

  • Best Drum fills of Ringo's career...in my opinion

  • @HLordz301 Listen to Sexy Sadie.

  • @HLordz301 I Agree!!!!!

  • Respond to this video... Great job!!!!

  • @HLordz301 totally agree, paul, john or pete best couldn't of done this at all.

  • @HLordz301 what about Rain? or Strawberry Fields?

  • Great drumming. ringo is the best drummer.

  • Ringo's fills are not easy to replicate. You have done an excellent job with this.

  • I have never heard a drummer capture the sound and feel of Ringo's drumming the way you do. OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!!! Same for your cover of "Rain"--excellent. I wish you didn't live in Japan---I'm looking for a drummer. BSP

  • I LOVE THIS!!!!

  • Yes, that is the ringo style right there

  • Easily some of Ringo's best drumming! You totally captured it! Excellent!

  • Nice job mate :)

  • Sau geil :)) Wirklich tolles Cover = Means, brilliant job, fantastic cover

  • This guy is fantastic!

  • YES!

  • A W E S O M E !

  • I never noticed how complex Ringo's drumming was until this.

  • How this, Rain and Help were never in Beatles: Rock Band I'll never know...all of 'em begging to be used

  • @simski22 Sexy Sadie should also be in Beatles Rock Band. I'm still waiting for batmankozyy to play that song on drums. :)

  • Indeed, even after this demostration some will keep saying that ringo didn't do it well as a beatle.

  • You really know how to play ringo!!

  • 2.06 drum stick twirl... you are the best

  • Excellent. How about Tomorrow Never Knows?

  • Stick trick looks just fuckin' amasing!

  • JESUS CHRIST...WHY CANT I FREAKING FIND ANY GREAT DRUMMERS LIKE THIS TO PLAY ON MY OROIGINAL SONGS ?

  • @enolaniaga because you OROIGINAL SONGS suck.

  • Whoa. I've never been one for "guitar covers" or "drum covers" where someone basically just plays along with the song. But this is truly an exception. If there was ever a drum cover worth making, this is it, and you were clearly the guy to do it.

  • great timing and roles, well done.

  • Ringo really got creative with his drumming after he started toking, compare this song with Misery from Please Please Me.

  • man....could have used this!! Just posted guitar. Difficult timing and you nailed it!

  • Ringo you Chinese? spectacular play drums not ever time you mess up 4 / 4 3 / 4 and 2 / 4 I congratulate you

  • Ringo would be proud....Brilliant job mate...

  • 1 person does not know about music!

  • I could watch this over and over and never get tired of it. You so have the feel mate, Thankyou

    Greeting for south west oz!!

  • try helter skelter or birthday...good job on this though!

  • Impressive.

  • very cool... it makes me want to break out my drum kit for the first time in ages. Also I'm hoping my daughter will carry on my Dad's drumming legacy where I wasn't able to....SUBSCRIBED!

  • Ringo's main strength was his fills. He had some very interesting stickings and note dynamics. He also staggered the beat a bit, and left out notes in odd places to create space. This particular track is a great example of that. The mixing of the drums was also great.. a very raw sound.

  • @fluxmuldar I'm still waiting for batmankozzy to cover Sexy Sadie by The Beatles. Great drumming on that song too. :)

  • @Xmenfan246 OMG I Think That Too Sexy Sadie Is One Of The Best Songs Of The Beatles

  • Good drumming on an otherwise electronically constipated track.

  • NIIICE WORK BROTHA

  • Really great work and I really like the sound of your kit!

  • Really great work!!!!

  • Very cool...

  • Great job !!! My favorite Beatles song and one with a rippin percussion track...

Best cover I've seen on YT

  • @1soicowboy 'rippin' who uses stupid words like that, oh yes, cunts.

  • @1soicowboy Referring to a percussion track as "rippin" is perfectly reasonable IMHO...

  • dude, I mean this in the least gayest way possible, but I love you!!!! Fuckin' bad ass!!!!

  • Awesome job! You did a great job on Rain also! Not to sound negative or nitpicky, but Ringo starts the little march beat on the second bridge a measure too early on the recording @ 1:38ish. Just in case you didn't know!

  • I can never get that lick. its driving me nuts!

  • Dude you are awesome! I absolutely loved it.

  • Please try rain and old brown shoe!!!! you are really good

  • @resiev15 look through his channel before you comment. He's done rain.

  • Dude you are a fucking pimp.

  • done to perfection

  • Ringo's drumming makes every other drummer out there his bitch.

  • absolutely unreal

  • the Best Drum Cover on Youtube, but that is only my opinion

  • excelent cover!, you play drums very good

  • Insanely brilliant.

  • Rain and She Said She Said are in my opinion the 2 hardest beatles songs and u mastered both! GREAT COVER!

  • @jonmur77 Hummm listen old brown shoe friend

  • @resiev15 u say that like ive never heard it b4, that is a good song but the drumming is just average, its not that difficult

  • @jonmur77 ¿What about "I want you (She's so heavy)"?

  • @jonmur77 : right on! It so aggravates me when I hear someone say that Ringo was lame; quite the contrary! His drumming was incredibly musical - he played "the song" and thus came up with some of the most interesting drum parts ever! ...you can teach Anyone to play the beat - it's a different thing altogether to play the song. My kudos go out to this young man in the video; Ringo's special touch was his deep 'pocket' feel, and it's nice to 'watch' it in action with this well done video.

  • And people say Ringo couldn't do good drumming.

  • @Marshallsg Of course he did like Old brown shoe rain you never give me your money are examples

  • @resiev15 That's what I mean. Ringo is highly underrated.

  • @Marshallsg Add to that I feel Fine, which is said to be inspired by the rhythm of What I'd Say by Ray Charles ... Ringo had some subtle rhythms if one isn't listening carefully ... he wasn't a power drummer like Bohnam, he was a different type of drummer ... summing it up for Ringo, Buddy Rich said .. "he's ok .." ... which means Ringo is better than most people were aware of ... if Buddy said that about you as a drummer, then everyone else should just shut-up.

  • @theeontheoffwing 'I feel fine" was VERY inspired by Bobby Parkers' Watch Your Step. :D

  • Respond to this video... Man, that is terrific, you've really got it down!!

  • @Marshallsg

    EXACTLY what I was thinking.

  • nice stick trick

  • your drumming is precise and exactly the same as Ringo's. Congratulations!

  • very good job

  • Very well done !!! ***** All the subtlties of fine drumming..And yes, I caught that stick twirl, little show boating never hurts !!! Very nice.

  • Very well done !!! *****

  • My favourite Beatles drumming!

  • Far out man....

  • somebody like dislike on accident

  • i think this song is Ringo's best

  • Well done,mate!!

Ringo stand up anywhere with any of the rock musicians.

Ringo has influenced drummers more than they will ever realize or admit.. He always approached the song more like a songwriter than a drummer.

  • 2:05 is brilliant! Good job!

  • Great tribute. My favorite Ringo track.

  • Pretty Good! - The Riff Raff Room - ellen community

  • Maybe Ringo isn't remembered for his chops, and maybe "She Said, She Said" isn't the single greatest Beatles song, but it's my favorite Ringo track. It just oozes with the peculiar magic that made Ringo so essential to the Beatles magic. I've spent a lot of time trying to EQ that song and tease the drums up out of the right channel, but I should've just waited for this video. Thanks!

  • Thanks for the reference for whenever I defend Ringo as a drummer. Very nice job.

  • Ringo at his best!! GREAT JOB!!!!!!! :D

  • Love it!! can you please... please.. PLEASE marry me?!

  • great work guy

  • You are one bad ass drummer.....

  • holy shit 2:02 STYLE!

  • @SerbSkiLLz00 yea freaking epic!

  • @jbarbri You're an idiot. Do you also believe Paul is dead?

  • @jbarbri ur freaking stupid ass mother fucker!!! this was made in the mid 60s!!! no dring all the fucking bullshit that u lisien to!!

  • Beautiful cover!

  • man, you're ringo!!!

  • better drumming than rain, i think.

  • 素晴らしい!

    こんな完コピのドラムは、初めてだ。

    あなたは努力の天才です。ありがとう!何回聴いても、観ても完璧だ。

  • that fill at the start is SICK

  • batmankozyy

My favorite Beatles song, and you have made it even more enjoyable by revealing Ringo's great drumming/. Thank you.

  • Youtubers, I just did something wild! Open two windows: this page for percussion and Buddy Clontz doing She SAid She Said on guitar (search for it). Carefully synchronize them to start at identical spots at the start of the song. Then crank up the volume and enjoy! Because both renditions are timed to the original playing in the background they're in perfect sync. And it's a beautiful effect.

  • DUDE NO ONE DRUMS LIKE THIS ANYMORE! RINGO WAS FUCKING JESUS AT DRUMMING! why does everyone hate him

  • Es increible lo que te mandas en 2.06 sos una bestia!!

It's awesome what you do at 2.05! You're a beast! haha

    Saludos!

  • Hell ya!!! Great drumming my man. Wish i had you jamming with me. Thanks for posting.

  • your drumming in the videos are dead-on

  • I think you and Buddy Clontz on guitar should form a band!

  • John wrote this song, but watching this video really makes me appreciate Ringo's creative contribution to the Beatles sound.

  • @aimtrue45 Ringo's drum fills are signature to The Beatles music. He's the unsung hero. One of his iconic drumming is the song Tommorow Never Knows. In the Anthology, George Martin described it as "Ringo's very characteristic drumming."
