Dean holds noone close to himself except for Sam, so when to his mind his only superious-being his father- orders him to protect Sam he does that and makes it his reason to live. You can see it in a lot of episodes, that he has no reason to live outside Sam, he considers himself usseless and unless he honors his fathers and does his will he does not justify his exsistence. Ofcourse he never realy says that, but you can figure it out eventually.

Alot of good actors do that. Jet Li had to fight himself on The One. J. August Richards do the same thing on Angel that Jensen Ackles do on this and Jackie Chan played two roles on Twin Dragons so he had to talk to someone who wasn't there too.
Poor Dean. Of course he's worth saving. Makes ya sad though don't it, that even when Castiel came - pulled out of Hell by an angel - and he still didn't think he was worth it. Someone needs to give that damn guy a hug!

I have a feeling that the negative part of Dean is who dominated when he was in hell. so to my understanding, it's that bad guy who makes people dream of their worst dream from their subconsiousness. so seemingly Dean's dream is from the bad guy, but in fact it is from Dean himself. it actually reveales a negative part of Dean that perhaps neither the show viewers or Dean himself has ever realized before. so to say, they did a wonderful job on this episode. =)

See, what I don't understand is why Jensen doesn't have a bookcase full of Emmy's already. He is absolutely breath-taking as Dean. This episode especially shows just how fucking talented our boy is! One of the best scenes in the whole series.
It's not because you're not popular like Brad Pitt Or Tom Cruise that you're not a good actor. Jensen prove it very well, and for us it's a chance coz we don't need to share him with everybody^^
Jensen Ackles is a hidden gem within the acting community. His skills are so great that he inspires me to see things that he's been in that I wouldn't even normally watch. Like his new movie that's in production. I normally don't do horror movies but I'm going to go see it just because the storyline sounds good and I know how great of an actor he is. My only problem is that Dark Angel went off the air before he could fully portray the character.

I have a feeling that the negative part of Dean is who dominated when he was in hell. I'm convinced (until proven otherwise) that Dean was well on his way to becoming a demon while he was in hell and that may have been part of the reason he was pulled out. He sure would make one nasty demon. This right here proves it.

i don't get something of this episode....in the end is Dean's demon that snaps his fingers...so that means that dena is already dead..so he is a demon and the dream actually was from the dmeon and not form dean??
i'm so confused about that!!

so to my understanding, it's that bad guy who makes people dream of their worst dream from their subconsiousness. so seemingly Dean's dream is from the bad guy, but in fact it is from Dean himself. it actually reveales a negative part of Dean that perhaps neither the show viewers or Dean himself has ever realized before. so to say, they did a wonderful job on this episode. =)

See, what I don't understand is why Jensen doesn't have a bookcase full of Emmy's already. He is absolutely breath-taking as Dean. This episode especially shows just how fucking talented our boy is! One of the best scenes in the whole series.

It's not because you're not popular like Brad Pitt Or Tom Cruise that you're not a good actor. Jensen prove it very well, and for us it's a chance coz we don't need to share him with everybody^^

Jensen Ackles is a hidden gem within the acting community. His skills are so great that he inspires me to see things that he's been in that I wouldn't even normally watch. Like his new movie that's in production. I normally don't do horror movies but I'm going to go see it just because the storyline sounds good and I know how great of an actor he is. My only problem is that Dark Angel went off the air before he could fully portray the character.

Man, Jensen Ackles is probably the best actor i've ever seen. Not to mention an unbelievable stud. The very last frame where demon Dean snaps his fingers...amazing. It was hot, creepy, and intriguing all at the same time. Not many actors can pull that off.

Honestly? I think Dean dying and coming back as a demon would be really cool. A Ruby!style demon, obviously. Struggling with his own lingering humanity and all that... I think it could be fascinating, if it's done well. ...unlike Ruby. :x Though she's getting better.
