Pretty cool beat. I just asked my guitar teacher about drum making software and he told me about cubase so I can write songs with my guitar. Did you pay for cubase or is there a trial cus FL Studio sucks and I really wana try Cubase out. Any suggestions?

thanks for this tutorial! i have used fl studio long time and i think its so much easier to make hiphop in fl studio and i will use fl studio for hiphop :) but cubase is perfect for real sounding orchestral filmmusic^^

Okobio, i've recently exported all of the pads from FL studio (like PAD_LIGHTWAVES) into a (.wav) audio file to use as instruments. I've tried uploading them on Cubase but nothing's happening!. Can you or anybody who's an expert on this help?

@technomaker1337 I think it would be a good idea to use fl studio or similiar virtual studio in tandem with cubase... which is why tutorials like these are a good thing. I find this progression only natural, as I have used Propellerhead Reason for 6 years now... rewiring it with cubase is the next step.

if you really want to know how to make good music, one major piece of advice i missed out in this is just to listen to as much music as you can and as you listen analyse what you are listening to and why you like it.

a good producer or composer (w/e you wanna call it) basically takes a bit of everything they listen to, jumbles it up in their head and turns it into something new

With Cubase 4 do you have to make all of the music on the computer or can you import each instrument by plugging it into the pc? I've been trying to figure this out all day lol

FLP Studio has a really good demo program for free online but without paying for it, several of the "features" can't be used although it still has many other cool ones that are available in the demo.

Windows Movie Maker to put video together.
