  • 3:10 shes gonna be a hella good basketball player... throwing without looking

  • Great video, very educational

  • 1:19 the cork was whispering to the guy.. >_>

  • I can't think of any other tree that wouldn't die from a bark stripping; those trees are weird!

  • This was quite educational and interesting. It never even occurred to me what the process was to make a simple cork.

  • @mcfucknuggets well, they cud.... But that wud be bad for the environment. :( the s a better way to use our natural resources

  • Wow very informative video, but, I would not want to have the job of punching the bark. Looks like an easy way to lose a finger.

  • Wow.

  • Fascinating.

  • I love the process of cork-making. It relies on renewable resources, it's efficient, and no materials are wasted. :D

  • damn did you guys so how those women were theing the corks in the right basket everytime without look?

  • @kingofkards4 They would make killer basketball players... They can look to see if their shoes are dirty and score a three pointer at the same time :D

  • I went outside and found that wine bottle my parents tossed to save the cork.

It was synthetic :( but I still think they are reedemably texturesque!

  • Stand back, sir, I have been trained for five years in the fine art of bark-stripping. This is not a job for amateurs.

  • Why dont they just use plastic corks? Wouldn't that be easier and better?

  • it would hurt if that thing stabs your finger...

  • Cock really does grow on trees! lol

  • with cork some Portuguese companies are doing more products than the typical one to use in bottles, just google "pelcor" and you will find more about what kind of products we are doing. There are more companies doing every day more and more nice products but that one it is probably the best. regards from Portugal

  • @Portugal2100 Wow! I had no idea cork could be used to manufacture so many fashionable products. I might have to purchase one of those umbrellas. Thanks for the suggested search. Regards from Texas.

  • I have a cork tree in my front yard. Pretty fun to throw knives at :)

  • Bark was there to protect it from bugs and the elements

    removing it does hurt it

why not crush everything up and make corkes that way?

  • Less workers?

  • I love corks they are squishy

  • That's what she said!

  • i have a 2 meter cohk

  • stripping the bark from the tree does not hurt it. I don't believe that.

  • Look it up, its true.

  • the stripping itself might not hurt it. but the vulnerability of the tree increases quite a bit.

  • @PyroDesu Yeah, that's what I was thinking. It's not like the tree makes the cork for us, it must have a use for the tree, otherwise it wouldn't make it.

  • Bad time to have an English accent lol.

  • Working at this factory, like sorting corks and stuff... would be depressed and bored after 5 minutes and hang myself or something...

  • lol...2 meter corks

  • i always thought they were made of rubber or something synthetic

  • many wineries are moving towards synthetic corks. there are some benefits, the possibility of a wine being corked is lessend, and many claim it retains an airtight seal better than the real thing.

  • sounded like he said you need a nice cock lol.

  • @Clanguage1 yeah i know

  • that's a lot of manual labor for punching them, you'd think there would be a machine for that

  • down with screwtops bring back our corks

  • Great video, I had no idea there was so much work in making something as simple as a cork.

  • Being an avid wine drinker, I really enjoyed this video.

  • nice vid good quality

  • dunno why but i've always wondered how they were made. . lol. thanks for the post!
