  • Wow, this is first time I have agreed with bob, but I think the proportional tax should be 20% not 15%. And the government definitely needs to keep a closer eye on financial aid. Lots of people are taking advantage of that system, but it should not be taken out all together. It's already hard enough to get anywhere when your on the bottom.

  • People forget that before Romney saw any of that money it was taxed at 35% through corporate income taxes. That's money he would have been paid if there was no capital gains tax. And that means that Romney is really paying closer to a 45% tax rate.

  • I say abolish the govt...and the IRS too...There should be no govt and no federal tax....5% flat state income tax and 7% sales tax...All the money the state earns should be spent on police, school, fire, and highways..Thats it

  • Mitt Romney also paid more in taxes that 50 percent of this country combined...

  • 112% agree with this. always have.

  • The government medicare will paid for the forty years, you will be on life support when your brain explodes........

  • solution close the gate for ten years for immigration till the wars are over and maybe us borne citizens can get a loan for a house then that will bring gas prices down eventually why dont you say something about how us borne cant get loans as fast as forigener do

  • @mymattaponi1 -- please, the fbi warned that mortgage fraud was "endemic" in 2004, in 2006 49% of all new mortgages were fraudulent. The banks make fraudulent loans, sell the bad debt to Fannie Mae, and you have the nerve to blame the victims. It's assholes like you that will let these banks drag the world economy into the gutter because you think you're in the club, and you despise anyone you think that you're superior to.

  • @Drinkingwithbob, Not only that how about change the way how the government should use the dang tax money. I mean geez...take our tax money to someone outside the united states for pleasure while we have to work our butts of for it and get nothing for return. It's like what I gave away never came back in return.

  • Income Tax money doesn't go to the Middle East. 100% of it goes to the Federal Reserve to pay off the interest from the debt. It's true. Look it up.

  • RON PAUL 2012!

  • @mymattaponi1 -- first - Obama is the greatest friend the banks have. -- Second -- investment banks do not feed the U.S., we don't need corrupt banks selling liars loans to thier clients for everyone to eat. -- third -- this isn't a normal business cycle, it's not normal to need a couple hundred billions dollars to keep the thing afloat.--third-- if you really were such a high roller you wouldn't be on youtube fucking with people, liar

  • @mymattaponi1 It's weird I don't recall saying "don't be happy" I said be productive. I understand you think you're not leeching and all, but you are. How have you advanced the cause of humanity again? I couldn't decipher it. In fact you've probably regressed it some. I'd be embarrassed.

  • @mymattaponi1 Of course a contributor to wealth-destruction would say "what recession?" Because you don't care about the net loss in productivity (which is where all tangible wealth comes from) - and that's unsurprising, because you yourself are an unproductive leech on the world around you. Start being productive.

  • @mymattaponi1 Haha what do you think caused the great recession? Speculation. What do you think caused every recession in history? Speculation. You're not a producer, but a drain. None of what you say suprises me. As a drain, you have to somehow justify your existence. I'd be ashamed if I were you. Only producers create wealth. Speculators destroy it by 1. Causing economic uncertainty causing net unemployment 2. Not working. 3. Draining away resources. Again, all I ask is that you be productive.

  • Or we could eliminate the Federal Income Tax altogether; the government promised it would only apply to 'rich' people...

  • @mymattaponi1 Ok drain, whatever you say. By the way it might help if you actually did some work instead of being a drain on the world around you.

  • @mymattaponi1 Do you lay bricks? Do you invent anything? Do you progress the state-of-the-art in any part of humanity whatsoever? No. Therefore, you are a drain on society. And an arrogant one too.

Countries with the smallest governments - Congo, Chad, Mexico, Yemen, Sudan - all the most horrific places in the world by far. DEMOCRACIES (not dictators) with strongest governments - Norway, Belgium, and yes USA - the best places by far. Wake up, the US has had strong government since inception.

  • @mymattaponi1 I'm speaking to a drain on society so your reply is unsurprising.

  • @mymattaponi1 Speculation causes bubbles and crashes, and hence recessions. So the net effect is that it LOSES jobs (even if you think it creates some on a small scale).

  • America. The ONLY place where the running candidate's tax return is more important than the INCUMBENT's birth certificate.

  • Again BOB for POTUS!

  • Bob, Do a video about Georgia taking Obama off the ballot if you havent already

  • @Zares28

Have they? Because they tossed out the lawsuit.

  • the government can do whatever it wants as long as the Federal Reserve is there to make money out of thin air, they could keep the tax system the same and still have a hay day

  • Ron Paul 2012.

  • Dude, I've been saying this for years.. wtf is so wrong with a flat tax.. I think they'd actually see more people willing to pay it and they'd make more money.

  • mitt Romney 2012

  • @KingsCreed lol.

  • BOB FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!!!!

  • LOUD NOISES!!!

  • The problem I have with Romney's taxes is that he is one who lobbied to get investment taxes lower. Yet he wants to raise taxes on the lower 50% of the population! This is ridiculous.

Romney sucks and is a complete spawn of the major banks and corporations.

  • this would put too many accountants out of work my friend. ; )

  • Wrong Bob. The solution is to lower everybody's taxes to ZERO.

    Ron Paul!

  • @disquisition73

Privatizing the schools would make America's educational standing in the world skyrocket.

  • 0:08 "He paid $6,000,000 in taxes..." Did Romney consume more than $6,000,000 in government resources? HELL NOOOOO!

He paid his "fair share". Back the f*ck off of him you lib-tards...

  • @stopstickers perhaps, but he did not himself provide 43 mil of service to anyone, either

  • The Federal Inome Tax was originally passed to tax the so called "Fat Cats" . Since the end of WWII it was to include the working class . Now they "the ordinary working class" had to start filling out tons of paper work to keep DC happy . Even part time baby sitters have to fill out this useless paper work - all for a couple of bucks . The tax code has become a monster of compexity . Guess what , the DemoPublicans love it !

  • Why can't everyone just pay the same tax rate? That is true fairness. Everyone is treated the same regardless of how much you make.

  • @JoshBoschke Right, just like true fairness is the top 1% having over 60% of the nations wealth combined? Herpderp get out of your fantasy world jackass. They make more, so they should get taxed more.

  • I'll give my money to charity, before I give it to the govt. Charity, is more effective, and it does not force me to give to it.

  • Mitt romney only paid 13% bob, the rest was lost to loopholes. Get your facts straight you jackass. Seriously, I've met some pretty chill conservatives, and none of them are as retarded as this guy. I'll say it again: MITT ROMNEY ONLY PAID 13% IN TAXES. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT DUMBASS.

  • Good speech faggot

  • @Allday1040 better channel.. aids faggot jew nigger kenyan cum drinker.

  • @FnkDctr none of those were offensive to me

  • @shadowdemond555 lololollololool

  • alsalam alaykoum

As a Saudi Prince myself, I strongly protest your assumption that I have stripper poles and drive a Maserati.

  • yeah & what do the sheeple pay in taxes,35-40% of their hard-earned money.i'm only voting for two possible people for president.ron paul-1st choice,bob-2nd choice!great idea man!

  • @CinematicComics OBAMA 2012!

  • @acewings221 Only a propaganda traitor would vote for the worst kenyan fraud president in our nations history.

you should be tried for treason.

  • @FnkDctr WOW, if Obama is the worst Kenyan fraud President, who were the ones that were not quit as bad? I just can't figure out how any foreign born sole can be our President.

  • @c6rocks Ever since the CIA assassinated JFK, our nation has gone to shit.

Obama cant and shouldnt be our president. But American pathetic trash are too stupid to stand up and call him out on his obvious fake birth certificate.

  • @FnkDctr funny observation is that most who claim that Obama is the worst in history could probably not name more than 5 other presidents.

  • @acewings221 NOBAMA 2012

  • @nickatnite85 OBAMA 2012! RON PAUL IS A LITTLE BITCH!

  • @acewings221 NObama 2012 Obama is a crack smoking Queer, and that's a fact.

  • @nickatnite85 OBAMA 2012! RON PAUL IS A COCKSMOKING LITTLE BITCH!

  • @nickatnite85 JUST LIKE CONSERVATIVES ARE COCKSMOKING LITTLE BITCHES!

  • @acewings221 you are a cock sucking little bitch.

  • @nickatnite85 Says the faggy little brainwashed CONservative.

  • @acewings221 Brain washed you really think Obama doing a good job? well keep sucking Obamas dick faggot

  • @acewings221 silly faggot dicks are for chicks

  • @acewings221 whats wrong can't talk have to much dick in your mouth you really need to stop doing that little queer.

  • @nickatnite85 Lol, umadbro? NEED A TISSUE? I bet your mommy is on welfare and foodstamps so she can't afford them ;P

  • @acewings221 look who is talking your the one who voted for the foodstamp king.

  • @acewings221 I find it funny when a welfare sucking liberal scum want to try and say someone else is on welfare. you know you voted for obama because you really thought he was going to pay all your bill, gas, and buy you a house, thats why you are sucking him now isn't it.

  • @nickatnite85 Oh yeah because all Liberals are clearly on welfare and don't have jobs...jackass. Oh brainwashed conservative retards make me laugh alot lmao. Entertain me more, moron. :)

  • @acewings221 well of course that liberal policy, take money from people who earned it only to give it to those people like you who are not good for anything.

  • @nickatnite85 Lmao, last time I checked: the government is elected BY the people, FOR the people. So what if there is social programs in place to provide the absolute BARE minimum for people who can't afford it or need it? Do you realise exactly how much little money the poor get? It's enough for an efficiency apartment through HUD, and the poor don't even own cars. But hey, keep eating what Fox is feeding you dumbass. I know someone who is disabled and only gets $700/month and $42 in f-stamps.

  • Comment removed

  • @acewings221 Oh and BTW most of the people who do collect welfare, don't even try to better themselves because they expect the government to take care of them.

  • @nickatnite85 You realise the amount of work you have to go through to get on SSI? You have to go to several meetings, a psychiatrist, get all your medical paperwork, and turn it in, and the entire process takes several months before they even make the decision, at which point you'll have to probably appeal it and go to court. I had to help my little brother do it, so if you think that there is people who cheat the system...I'm sure there is as with any program, but there's certainly not many.

  • @acewings221 I'm not talking about the people on SSI i'm talking about the dead beats who are on cash asst and other pointless welfare programs, they do no good for the community, you know the ones who have 5 kids and use all the money the government gives them to buy drugs with.

  • @nickatnite85 Well let me ask you something you fucking moron, if someone who isn't disabled can't get a job, what about the people with severe mental disabilites, how are those people going to get a job? "OH UM, OH UMMMMMM, OBAMA STARTED THE RECESSION!". I swear, Conservatives are so brainwashed that they won't even think for themselves. And for the record, I care about my fellow americans, and I realise that Social programs are NEEDED. INB4 I'm a welfare baby: I make $13.75/hour. Owned.

  • @acewings221 what about all the people who can work but choose not to because they expect the government to take care of them there whole life. oh and BTW I am a computer technician I make 17.35 an hour.

  • @nickatnite85 There's a difference between getting help and getting a handout: OWS people want help, not a handout. They were/are protesting injustice. Obviously the people who can work should at the very least be trying to find jobs, I won't disagree on that. But given the fact that it takes so much work and it's really hard to get on social programs like SSI, there's not much room for gaming the system.

  • @acewings221 The OWS people need to go out and get a job, they only want a handout, they can work if they really want to they are not disabled, just lazy.

  • @nickatnite85 No, they were protesting injustice lol. Let me ask you something: should the banks be allowed to profit off of destroying the economy? Should they have to pay us EVERYTHING back with interest? THAT is what OWS was protesting. Don't let Fox or anyone else tell you otherwise.

  • @acewings221 The banks where force to give out bad loans by those liberal groups like ACORN if they refused someone a loan even if it was proven they couldn't pay it back they where called raciest by ACORN its the liberal policy who destroyed the housing market which later lead to a destroyed economy, and guess who ACORN lawyer was at the time this happen oh yes BHO.

  • This is what i been saying for years!!! A flat tax,i think it should be no more than 10% and never can go above 10% and the government must spend with in that means! Also This is a trick by the government to say lets raise the taxs on the millionare instead of lowering the tax on the simple guy making 30,ooo a year!

  • Mitt Romney was taking a chance investing. Would this be an issue if Mitt Romney lost money with his investments? Reform the tax code and cut the loopholes in the tax code that allow some millionaires to pay a low percentage of their income in taxes. Four more years of Obama will destroy this country.

  • Ron Paul 2012

  • Mitt Romney don't care about the poor and starving artistes.

  • @snakesinmypants Well, the artistes than need to find a job where they can make a living, just to label someone a artist does not mean we have to support a performance that is hardly worthy of a clap.

  • @snakesinmypants Get a job like everyone else. What about Starving pilots, or truck drivers, of teachers? What a load of crap, get off your ass.

  • Cocaines a hell of a drug

  • THANK YOU!!! A man who knows what he is talking about!

  • THE SOLUTION!

  • Sorry Bob. Flat tax won't work either. Those that don't pay taxes now, won't pay taxes then. Those that work for cash don't pay taxes. Drug dealers don't pay taxes. Tourists don't pay into our system but then use everything taxpayers pay for. We need a federal sales tax. Then illegals have to pay some type of tax, drug dealers will pay taxes when they buy expensive rims and Rolexes. Tourists will also pay a portion. Then it'll all be relative.

  • @vegaskiller73 when the drug war ends and drugs are legalized, drug empies will end. saving the taxpayer money

  • @vegaskiller73

"Those that work for cash don't pay taxes. Drug dealers don't"

--No one who makes money illegally pays income taxes on it. Nothing will change that.

"Tourists don't pay into our system"

--They do through sales taxes. How do you think states like Florida operate?

    "Then illegals have to pay"

--They already do. But if we do a federal sales tax they should then get rid of the income tax. Sales tax is a point of sale tax, I'm not sure how the federal govt can justify it.

  • I think Bob was George Washington in the pass life.

  • 42 people cant keep a job and want others to pay for their lazy butts.

  • Bob I love the flat tax idea.. but it still wouldn't be "fair" for the Dems. The problem with flat tax is whether you make 100,000,000 or 10,000 dollars things like milk still $4 and filling up your car with gas might cost $50. That $50 being spent is going to sting the person with only $10,000 more.

  • @joecheesman Let me add this to your analogy. If the average person gets a ticket for speeding and pays 100 bucks, that hurts him. But the wealthy person can speed all day long and never give it another thought. Let's face it, there is no way to reform taxes that work for everybody, because money is abstract and has no intrinsic value. Taxes can't be fairly adjusted no more than milk or speeding tickets can. The problem is the monetary system itself.

  • @archemedes314 totally agree man. I've actually heard of some countries starting to take a percentage of your income for speeding tickets. Of course theres no way you could make it work in the U.S. because there is far too many people, but it's still an interesting idea.

  • On top of that we need to end insider trading and foreign aid to ALL countries, its sucking us dry.

  • I think @drinkingwithbob just proved he's the most obvious fraud there is.

He's supposed to be "populist" but doesn't care that Mitt Romney is taxed lower for outsourcing jobs so, ya know, we have to attack Saudi princes because that shows you care about the little guy(?)

The lowest taxes in the world won't be as helpful as programs like Medicare and Social security but we have to make the government "live within it's means" right?

  • @DucketsMgee7 Mitt Romney isn't taxed less, that was a rumor that has been spreading and you're too stupid to look up the truth. Mitt Romney pays more in one year in taxes than you will make in your entire pathetic life. We shouldn't have social security, we need to do away with it. The whole idea behind ss is that you're too stupid to save for your retirement so the government will tax you then later in life pay you back in inflated dollars some of the money you paid into it. Epic fail

  • @cwood4ever

Yeah but percentage wise he gets less of his money taken away then people that make orders of magnitude less and no, the point of SS is that some people through circumstance or whatever will end up horribly poor so we all pitch in to help, but it's fine if you think we shouldn't care about other people.

  • @DucketsMgee7 Youre saying that I dont care for other people? I care for other people by donating MY TIME and MY MONEY. You DONT care for PEOPLE by STEALING ONES money and GIVING it TO OTHERS. SS isnt about CARING ITS ABOUT GOVERNMENT CONTROL OF THE MASSES.

  • @cwood4ever

Something like 95% of people approve of social security so it's not exactly stealing meaning you just don't care about others.

  • @DucketsMgee7 95% of people are idiots and dont realize they could be spending their money how they want. Just because 95% like something doesnt mean its right. Let the 95% pay into social securities and let the other 5% opt out and never get ss when they get old. Surely they aren't against personal freedoms of people wanting to use their money how they end.

  • @cwood4ever

I'm not necessarily against opting out but the point is it's part of the social contract and you're thinking economically seems way off.

Are you seriously saying a poor old person is better off with less taxes and no social security and Medicare?

  • @DucketsMgee7 First of all I am poor, I make about 20,000 as a college student. I have NOT borrowed one red cent from the government. I pay my way and I am saying I would rather keep my money than give it to the government for SS. I could double that money easy instead of waiting till I am 65 which I wont get anyways because it wont be there for me since there wont be any money for me. Its already bankrupt and its only 2012. It took less than 100 years for the government to make it go bankrupt.

  • @DucketsMgee7 'Social contract'. What a bunch of meaningless bullshit.

    Statists = gaytards. Babbling gaytards.

  • @DucketsMgee7 SS is stealing money from the young and giving it to the old. it goes to ever old person, even those who do not need it. that is a fact. The worst part of it is it is a system that will be bankrupt in my life time. Will I get SS? will my kids? Nope. will i get a refund? no.

if they shut down SS and medicare tomorrow, i would dance in the freaking streets.

  • @DucketsMgee7 Mitt Romney is taxed lower rates because his income fall under the 15% capital gains tax I believe.. And why did you put "live within it's means" in quotations? Are you implying that the government can continue to keep spending 6.2 trillion dollars per year and growing (while taking in 5.2 trillion) with growing national debt of roughly 15.3 trillion and growing? things like medicare and SS are draining money from taxpayers and throwing it into the Washington Blackhole.

  • @londean

Governments aren't people or families, the debt they accrue will eventually go back to the people's pockets via bonds etc. and the point at which it becomes unsustainable won't occur for decades which is why investors massively prefer US bonds as a safe haven.

  • Did you know that a typical married couple making $150K/year pays far less than 15% federal income tax? Please know how much federal income tax you pay before you vote a tax increase on yourself. Please memorize line 61 of your US1040.

  • Did he just paint his walls blue were the webcam is??

  • 1 video a week? weak.

  • Anyone who's run a business (including Romney) understands that you cannot talk about cost cuts without equaling addressing the plans for revenue growth. You cannot disengage two equally important variables tied to the same solution....whatever that may be.

  • The tax system is backwards. Those who are forced to work for a living should pay less tax than one who can afford to live off dividends. No surprise that it's this way. Wages should not even be taxed. Wages are barter. A days work for a days pay. Dividends from wealth, now that's making money.

  • maybe a chill pill?

  • yeah we are the boss. and if they keep forgetting that, we might as well not pay them any more taxes xD

  • bob who should i vote for. and why

  • Bob you really do not understand economics. A flat tax is a miserable idea ask any serious economist. Taxes are a form of regulating the markets just like formal regulations, you give a flat tax as crazy as 15% to the ultra wealthy say hello to speculation and his brother outsourcing.

  • For the people who point out that the flat tax is more burdensome on the poor, THAT IS THE POINT!

The lower and middle class majority of America will, because of their burden, be more hostile towards federal government spending, and games of semantics to misuse government for things it wasn't meant to be used for, whether it be charity for the poor or hiring private contractors to build in other nations.

As long as we are unaware of the tax burden, we are easily placated with "freebies".

  • WHAT'S next? I'LL tell ya' what's next!!!

  • How about zero income tax???????

  • @1lady4freedom 0% income tax = no guaranteed education, = aristocracy (i.e. only rich kids dominate).

  • @TheNavigateur The US once had a 0% income tax brah

  • @TheNavigateur So you think your income tax pays for schools?????????? hum I think you need to study economics. Who pays most of the income tax??? the middle class. What class level is becoming extinct? The middle class. Who still gets the best education with income taxes? The upper class. So your argument is questionable.

  • @TheNavigateur

"0% income tax = no guaranteed education"

--You appear to be in dire need of some education yourself. First, an income tax wasn't in the Constitution until the 20th century. The federal govt took revenue from taxing commerce. So an income tax isn't the only tax there is. And second, public education is paid for by land owners through their property taxes. Local education paid for by local residents (which is why "busing " is wrong, but that's another subject).

  • @NoGuff If you're against income tax then why aren't you against all tax? What's the difference?

  • Hey Bob, I live in the Metro Atlanta Georgia area where Obama showed contempt of court and refused to show up to defend his alleged eligibility to be president. Can you please do a video on this?

  • Why is it whenever people mention Romney's taxes there are two things that are never mentioned: 1) that Capital Gains can be double taxed (and Romney's was) and 2)Romney gave 15% in charity. That's 14% more than Obama and Biden.

  • 15% is pathetic. You can't fund equal opportunities for all with that. It'd be great if you could, but you CAN'T. The rich will own the system, and kids born into poor families CAN'T move ahead. The Republicans are owned by people who WANT that. Now do the maths, THEN work out the correct percentage.

Solution to waste? CUT OUT THE WASTE. Don't just cut out the source of funding without doing ANY calculations whatsoever! What's next???

  • @TheNavigateur Several years ago my father had to quit working in the middle of the year because had he continued to work he would have entered a higher tax bracket and would have lost more money than he would have gained. By his calculations he would be shooting himself in the foot by continuing to work, so he chose to sit on his ass for the rest of the year like a lot of these welfare parasite liberals do ALL the time who expect the government to wipe their asses for them.

  • @eowynladyofrohan83 Your dad must be really bad at math because each new tax bracket only applies to income above that bracket, so he would have ended up richer by working the rest of the year.

So your dad either 1. is/was really bad at math, or 2. doesn't/didn't know the policy, or 3. is/was a dick, and knowingly just flat lied.

  • @TheNavigateur no the issue is that the PERCENTAGE change when he earned MORE was such a drastic JUMP that the change in percentage was enough to make it not worth earning THAT much more, because so much would have been snatched from him. It's the way of lazy unproductive liberals to say that anyone with money must be greedy and dishonest, when the reality is that an employer with more money makes for more potential employees.

  • @eowynladyofrohan83 Well then your dad is/was just being a dick, and has no business calling anyone else unproductive other than himself. Clearly he'd've been richer, but wasn't willing to work for even that. Clearly that's unproductive. But you can only expect that from right-wingers who are all assholes (and thus unpatriotic in practise) in one way or another.

By the way there shouldn't be tax brackets but a continuous formula, so that no-one becomes an asshole even with more money available.

  • @TheNavigateur A lot of liberals are too stupid to realize that a flat tax rate is NOT the same thing as a lump sum tax which of course is wrong. Of course poor people should NOT pay the same AMOUNT as rich people, but the same PERCENTAGE still results in the poor paying far less than the rich which is right!

  • @eowynladyofrohan83 True but 15%? Tax needs to be enough to guarantee equal opportunity and 15%'s nowhere near close. First calculate what's needed, THEN calculate the %.

2ndly a flat tax is wrong anyway. People who work for every penny shouldn't have the same tax as someone whose income is increasing exponentially despite the same work. Accountability for individual effectiveness must be preserved, so they should only have more if they are personally doing better things than they were before.

  • @TheNavigateur First, what do you mean by "guarantee equal opportunity"? Second, how do you figure that people who's income is "increasing exponentially despite the same work" are doing the same work? Same as whom, the ones making less money? They obviously aren't doing the same work, or they'd be getting paid the same.

  • @19cjs67 Guaranteeing equal opportunity means no inherent and obvious advantage based on where or to which family you're born. Different income amounts cannot be said to be "earned" without equal opportunity in the first place.

As for same work - the same quality of work (or even less) than before. Haven't you ever heard multi-millionaires saying their first million was the hardest to make, the next million was MUCH quicker despite the same (or even less) work than before? If not you should've.

  • @TheNavigateur Just because one person is born into wealth, and another into poverty does not guarantee anything. There are plenty of people who have overcome poverty to become very successful. Conversely, there are people born into wealth who's lives turn out badly because of the paths they choose. Nevertheless, how do you propose to remove any "advantages" that one person has over another?

  • @19cjs67 Tax.

  • @TheNavigateur So what tax rates do you propose? Do you want to tax everyone down to the same net income?

  • @19cjs67 Nope, preserve the accountability for quality of work. That should be the income disparity.

  • @TheNavigateur You use the phrase "opportunities", but that's a misdirection; the real term here is "experiences". A person who is the son of a doctor will have a different experience than the son of a mechanic. Opportunity is derived from experience.

Whatever circumstance we are born into, and how our choices improve our life's course (or change direction altogether), adds to our life experience. Government intervention to normalize "opportunity" deprives us of individual life experiences.

  • @chrlpolk What you're talking about aren't obvious advantages/disadvantages. Where the advantages/disadvantages are obvious beyond that person's control, however, that should be addressed by government. This should be obvious as you can't be said to have "earned/deserve" your relative amount if you had an obvious disadvantage/advantage that was beyond your control. It just makes sense.

  • @TheNavigateur To describe "advantage" vs. "disadvantage" requires a uniform definition of "happiness". That's why government should not be involved.

Romneys father built his business from the ground up. He had to learn how to manage money properly. That was a lesson he passed down to his children, and an advantage Romney received.

What happens when millionaires don't learn how to manage their money? Look at M.C.Hammer. Bankrupt.

So money, itself, isn't the advantage or disadvantage.

  • @chrlpolk Money IS an obvious advantage. To claim otherwise is either a lie or unbelievably ignorant.

  • @TheNavigateur The way "opportunity" plays out is:

If government decides society needs more teachers, then government provides incentives to reach that goal; more people become teachers, not because that is their preference otherwise, but because it is a seemingly more obtainable path.

The argument is whether we are each truly individuals of free will, and society is a product of our actions; or if we are each a cog in a beast of society, which needs to be directed towards a social agenda.

  • @chrlpolk No, the argument is whether a few people should DECIDE that social agenda or if it is directed as a result of reasoned discussion between people of all opinions, or at least a representative cross-section thereof.

If you say "government out of the way", only a few rich people will be able to decide the social agenda for everyone else because they will decide what laws should and shouldn't exist. They already do that anyway. You're nearly there.

  • @TheNavigateur Also, as to your comment that people "should only have more if they are personally doing better things than they were before", who's to decide what other people "should" have, and how do we determine what quantifies "better than before"?

  • @19cjs67 Representative democracy, via logic and reason. That's what.

  • I don't agree with everything you say, but man, it's fun to watch you yell about shit.

  • @LightningBoltz Addendum: I do agree with you on Mitt, however.

  • Sounds simple enough to me....

  • I totally agree.

  • You know what's wrong with a 15% flat tax? Politicians lose a way of enticing certain demographics of voters with loopholes and exemptions. That's really all it comes down to, so I'm afraid you will never see it happen. Let's say that we did FINALLY have a flat tax, guess what else? How long do you think it will be before politicians screw it all up again? Not very long at all. Why? Because, again, they want to use the tax code as a way to gain votes. It's a sad state of affairs.

  • @MBair9109

I felt the same way when I found it first time.

  • What if you sell pot?

  • @iwantmedibud You get respect from people that know the truth about weed & possibly smoke it, disrespect from the brainwashed bunch, and 20-something years in prison, if you get caught by the govgovgov. lol By the way, "govs" means "cow" in latvian...roflmao

  • exactly, the USA complicates things more than necessary and makes everything worse

  • the amount of truth in this video is making me chuckle, i am not being sarcastic...he is so right
