dumbed down casualized multiplayer if i can say that in a nutshell.

0 skill required to do anything, COD based rifle gameplay, instant kill weapons as default that dont require aiming whatsoever, lack of (promised) dedicated servers (in australia)

disk locked content, false promotions (green skins)

although the singleplayer and horde/beast mode were superb.

@eldestsucubus maybe so, but gears 2 multiplayer, to put it plainly, sucked. lag was awful, bots were unbalanced and it was a total shotgun fest. lancer was useless. and the host advantage, dear god the host advantage.

lag was awful if your connection matched, bots were on insane, they were only a problem if you gave them a sniper rifle on one of the the map packs, and even then, you had to give them the shot. lancer was not useless, there was a 40 round magazine and it only required 8 non active body shots to down, 7 active, or 6 active to the head, not useless at all, you just had to aim. host advantage was never a problem in australia, we only ever played with fellow aussies

@eldestsucubus i think what got on my nerves really was there weren't any casual game types. i get it if you like being "hardcore" but not everyone can be really good at the game. i'm not saying i wanted it to be cod easy, but something that didn't require maximum concentration all the time. execution rules ruined it for me, and it made the lancer kind of useless since if you pick them off from afar you had to move in for the kill, and usually by the time you get there the other team are there.

@eldestsucubus basically what im trying to say is gears 3 is much more balanced. on gears 1 and 2 you had to use shotguns to do well. im sure its fun if you love shotguns, but i've always been more of a rifle person, and in 1 and 2 if you used lancer you couldn't be very effective. In gears 3 you can be effective with either lancer or shotgun.

GOW 3 wird die Unreal engine 3.8 verwenden eine überarbeitete version derer die in GOW 2 zum Einsatz kam.Die Unreal Engine 4 wird es erst in der nächsten Konsolengeneration geben,also ungefähr zwischen 2012-2013
