One more idea for you for new music -- David Brubeck's "Take 5". If you can play Yakety Sax (which you can) This one will go well. Again, not sure of your 'play by ear' capabilities, sheet music shouldnt be too hard to find.

That is an alto.

and if you're just starting I'd suggest to start with alto, it's much easier. Tenor is harder to get a nice tone on..

Hey i just wanted to say that you play beautifully and i myself play the saxophone and i was very impressed. It takes a lot to impress me. You just played with such control and i've seen a lot of people, when they play, try to be all fancy and wind up sounding really ugly. And don't listen to these comments saying that you're faking. I play the sax and i know that when you're really good your fingers don't need to move a lot...
