  • One of the best endings in series!

  • One of the best endings I've ever seen in a videogame!!

  • @richardalarcon81 indeed. but they REALLY have to stop reviving Dracula! Dracula, STAY DEAD ALREADY!!! >:(

  • the best dracula of all times

  • NO DONT LOSE YOUR WOLF POWER

  • ortega is dark for living in europe, where do you suppose he's from?

  • Need a remake with better graphics and voices.

  • Wow they ripped off ocarina of time. When zelda is trapped in the crystal

  • The 64 games got way to much hate when they came out. Looking back they hold up well and have some awesome music. I liked how they linked the stories between the two. Now I just need to find some sheets for the organ music playing here...

  • the ending text is referring to Malus from CV64 " a child with blue eyes and blue hair will be born with the soul of the devil" "but 2 youths will fight the devil" referring to Reinhardt and Carrie. This game is set 8 years before CV64.

  • the n64 castlevania games are definitively the best ones

  • @penguinsmartguy968

u obviously havent played super castlevania iv yet.

  • @penguinsmartguy968 i think i like super castlevania 4 better

  • Yeaaah, isn´t that cool? ;D

  • Nice commet, but can you explain to me.... in CV65 the guy in purple robes is dracula

so in this CV game the servant is known as dracula ? but in CV64 hes known as the servant?

    whats up with that ??

  • @xMandalorex

The purple-robed guy is Malus in adult form, which is basically Dracula, because Malus is Dracula. They re-used the sprite of the servant for this game as the true Dracula. It wouldn't make sense for him to look like Malus before Malus is born.

  • i loved all the 64 games but it is taking a long time for dracula to acquire his true form... he always rambles on about it in every game ive played oh well.. all i want is to see draculas true from. lastly death looked amazing in this game lol he scared the shit out of me when i was little.

  • I beat this entire game without using my werewolf transformation!!! cuz i thought i would get sumthing special if i did! wow i was stupid!

  • Best castlevania ending...was Ada supposed to say," It doesn't matter if we aren't blood relatives?"

  • Anyone play Castlevania Judgement yet? I think Cornell looks like a shithead. A talking wolf with armor???

  • yea they made cornell Anubis or sumthin he doesnt even look like a wolf 2 me just looks like an armored dog out of egypt and they killed his voice 2. they made him sound like a 50yr old man or sumthin

  • Hey buddy dont call us dogs cuz it hurts like an insult very awful *whimpers*

  • death has wings lol

  • this game was impressive for its time

  • on man I recently bought this game and beat it, i was wondering if i had the best or worst endings, but now I see there's only one ending for Cornell

  • Ummm I didn't finish the game but there is no way I can play it again, I'm forced to spoil the ending for me. Argg here I go...

  • So Cornell is the father of the reborn Dracula? That's pure irony if I've ever seen it. Once again, another plan comes together for Dracula.

  • This ending is beautiful. And this castlevania was beautiful but wasn't ada supposed to say ," It doesn't matter if we aren't blood relatives Cornell... Together we can do anything." ?

  • Castlevania 64 is my all time favorite game!! period. If any of you weaksauce haters (cause I know you are out there and live for starting arguments) wanna beef, bring it on!!!

  • Since Cornell and Ada are not relatives, maybe they were the ones that give birth to Malus. As the title says "Legacy of Darkness"

  • So... Malus is Cornell's son/...?

  • No since Malus and Dracula;s Servant Kill their parents

  • I'm sad, because in the sequel to this, there is a tombstone that says, "Here lies my son, Henry." Is it the same Henry?

  • The tomb/grave WAS meant for Henry, however...Henry's father (Gille De Rai..a (turned) Vampire) made that grave (in advance) to bury Henry after he sucked the life out of him.

But as we can see...this did not happen.

  • too bad this game was rushed

  • I've only played 64, but this looks awesome.

  • I love the way that you get the sence that Dracula had expected all of this, and based his plan on it... except at the good ending of carrie or reighnhart...

Castlevania 64's dracula ultimate was much creepier.

  • Legacy of Darkness is considered to be one of the best Castlevanias ever and one of the best games for N64, you really don't know what you're talking about.

  • The most incredible improvement for Castlevania was in CV4 when "StarTeam"(The developers) made the Whip Controlable. Konami never built on that game, they borrowed from it but not built on it. Just as they did for GradiusV(PS2) they ought to Hire Treasure(Former Star Team) to develope CV. Konami just throws Dracula into the mix and sets the ambiance to Neo-Transylvania, and people eat it up, but it's just a turd with fangs.

  • I'll agree with you on CV4 being the best CV when it comes to gameplay. The amount of control in that game has yet to be matched (sadly). Personally, Konami should have worried more about the gameplay in this particular title (I remember the original release of the game was slotted to have 4 playable characters) instead of rushing it out the way they did. The idea behind the game was great, IMO. Would like to see a remake, but I know that Konami has retconned this game

  • There was one team within Konami working on Castlevania 3 for NES. The other, Star Team, worked on Castlevania 4 on SNES. The Team that worked on Castlevania 4 is no longer part of Konami but now work for Treasure. Caetlevania 3's team controlled the series from then on. I would just like Konami to Hire Treasure, as they did for Gradius V, to create Castlevania V. Awesome?

  • Is this a remake of 64 or a prequel?

I want to know so if I go on Ebay i'll know to get one or 2 games :P

  • It's a remake and a prequel. The first half of the game is the prequel part after which you unlock the first N64 Castlevania game with the enhanced camera and controls of Legacy of Darkness. There's some differences in the level design and presentation (some major, some minor) that I believe are covered at Wikipedia.

  • So basically......skip 64 and go straight for LOD?

  • I wouldn't say skip 64... some of the levels, though all featured in LoD, are different and.

As I have played through the VILLA level several times, i noticed several differences there in particular... the fences, the carpet, some paintings, and the colour of the vampires vest.

  • this game is hard

  • hay i was there for 10,000 years ago in my dream!!!!!!!

  • The plot is continued in the same game, playing with Carrie or Reinhardt in the future.

  • no, even not for the gamecube :/

  • Did there ever come out a part efter this one?
