i remember my first real crush - a guy from my HS - everybody fancied him. one day we had this "roses-day" at school, where you could secretely send your crush a rose. i knew he'd get tons of roses, so i asked the people wo delivered them if i could buy a cute cactus and give it to them to give it to him. they liked my idea, so he got a bunch of roses and a cactus. he later on found out that i had sent the cactus and started talking to me :) we never became a couple, but it was woth the try.
