I've got a B5 Audi S4 atm and would seriously consider a swap to one of these. That noise is immense and these are apparently very easily tunable too. And you can pick them up for about £7k these days as well. Nice.

im going to ask anyway because you have one but im presuming because the engine is prity much as simple as they get it should therefore be reliable, id love for you to say yes because i want one but because of the demise of mg rover i dont wana jump in and buy a car that i cant keep mechanically sound.

yes, the engine is reliable. The whole car is pretty solid and ages well.

Yeah, TVR tuned 340bhp 5.0 Rover V8 would've been just the ticket for that car...oh well.

Yes. But it's more useable than, for instance, Audi's 32v. And it will accept a supercharger and 420 bhp without further mods.

Actually the 190's V6 has a very nice sound too. different instrument in the orchestra. The V6 is in the strings section, the V8 in the percussion !

Yeah it aint bad with a custom back box but different league to the V8. Just been valeted too so I can squint and imagine :)
