It is currently impossible to predict a Youtube video's, audio quality, in advance of actually listening to it. Of course, except for that we know it will be of a much, much lower quality in general. @masterknaster Thanks for reminding me I still had that note. YouTube has upgraded their play back. When I first up loaded, 480p and 720p sounded much better then play back at 360p and there wasn't any 240p. Listen to the sound quality watching at 240p and then at 360p you'll hear what I'm talking about.

@masterknaster haha you are right that the image quality has nothing to do with sound, but p does not stand for pixels...it stands for progressive scan which means the pixels are not interlaced like, for example, 1080i (where i stands for interlaced). that means the pixels are flickering at different times to up the perceived frame-rate without using up bandwidth.

@masterknaster lowering the pixels lowers the quality of the whole clip which consists of video and audio. that way It can load faster on your slow connection. Higher values of pixels return the true quality of video as well as audio of the whole clip which takes longer to load but has the best effect. and don't argue I know this.
