@jmr1068204 you are a fucking idiot...the inside of a steak is not exposed to oxygen and is therefore not bacteria infected like ground beef can be. Also, "cannibalism" is the act of eating your own species' flesh not plainly eating "raw meat'. Please, do all of us a favor and go read a fucking book.
any steak cooked past medium you should of just bought the meat they use for dog food (the lowest of the low) because anything cooked well you can't taste the actual quality of the beef, whether it's choice and dare i say cooking a piece of prime beef well (shutters) would be simply just a waste of your money.
Why do people eat raw meat? No wonder there's so many problems with bacteria and sickness...people are half cannibals nowadays with all of these "rare" steaks.
@jmr1068204 Sorry to hear that. Then you, obviously, never had a delicious juicy steak. In my 53 years I've never been sick from bacteria or food poisoning, and no one else in my family. (Surprising especially the way my wife handles chicken.) Even when I have guests over, if they want it well done, I point them to the nearest McDonalds. I know I'm rude, but don't insult me with such a request.
@RayPaganJr I prefer my steak well-done because I'm not a cannibal that eats raw meat - that's for the animals in the field who do not know better. I hardly doubt that you've never been sick in 53 years from eating raw meat - you just blamed it on something else that you found convenient, so that you wouldn't have to realize a need for a change in eating habits.
@RayPaganJr I have the same take on steak when I'm at a restaurant and a friend asks for a $50 steak well done. I tell him burgers usually only cost 7 bucks.
@jmr1068204 The definition of cannibalism from dictionary(dot)com is as follows:
the eating of human flesh by another human being.
2
the eating of the flesh of an animal by another animal of its own kind.
3
the ceremonial eating of human flesh or parts of the human body for magical or religious purposes, as to acquire the power or skill of a person recently killed.
4
the act of pecking flesh from a live fowl by a member of the same flock.
Where does it say "raw or undercooked meat" I ask you?
@jmr1068204 @ rayword45backup Yo, steaks can be "undercooked" as long as the outside is seared. the only thing in danger of e-coli or parasites is a part of the meat that was exposed on the outside to oxygen or the blade of a knife. jmr, just buy a hamburger, they cost way less.

What a fail.
The porterhouse is the NY strip(short loin) and the fillet. Not the sirloin.

@jmr1068204 Maybe. Who knows? You may be right. It hasn't killed me though. I will always eat my steaks medium rare. Yummy.

@theknow411 Amen to that! ! If your ganna eat a good steak well done you should just ask for shoe laces and wear it.
gnomeslayer17 7 months ago
@jmr1068204 So, if I enjoy my steaks less then well-done, I'm a half-cannibal.
By that logic, if I go kill and cook some guy then eat him, I'm a half cannibal too! Wow!
rayword45backup 1 year ago
@rayword45backup Pretty much, yes. Except for you get the bonus E-Coli, parasites and bacteria with both. Food poisoning for the loss...

Hypothetical question: if you were a cow, would you try to follow diets that would make your porterhouse; literally, have abundant marbling?
