  • where did u learn to write like that?

  • @johnnyfisalive at home.

  • Beautiful, I love how you decorated it! So nice. Lol, and @slip9906, I had the same reaction on the "y" but when I saw the rest I'm like, "Oh, wait. Oh no you didn't >__>"

  • Beautiful, as always.

  • lol u got me at the end of "Y" lol i was like u messed up.....wait,...no you didnt

  • what pen do you use ?? or is a brush ??

  • @MiSsHoPeLeSs08 It is a brush.

  • @MiSsHoPeLeSs08 oh wow

  • @ blaghdude11 no but you first need to know how to spell calligraphy

  • I likes it but u killed it with the tail on the y. If u would have connected it all maybe but u left gaps in it

  • @zamuriaz she always leaves gaps to show which one is on top, bottom line generally is separated by the top one ;)

  • gotta be asian. your good!

  • Do you need to be right handed to write coligraphy?

  • haha messed up the y and tried to cover it up making the whole thing even worse

  • great work!!!

  • It started as something simple and ellegant, but it became too charged with unnecessary decoration. Stick to the essentials.

  • Amazing

  • At first wen he wus startin to do tha Y iwus like....."dude...wtf yu duinn ?"

  • When you have a copy, yes its easy to do calligraphy dude, indeed!... :S

  • I can hear the clock ticking in the bg :p

  • Great job!!!

  • dont you hate painting up instead of down.... it sucks.... nice writing tho....

  • @Pwnr145 It is much easier painting up with brush than pen.

  • amazing! but the ending was a little overdone

  • so much drama

  • Arabic Calligraphy is the best

    !!!

can defeat any calligraphy of other language

  • @royaltornado Love Arabic calligraphy, as well as other calligraphy style. However, I doubt if the word best exist in a world of relativity.

  • @yanghaiying

    that just my Opinion !!

please don't take that in seriously way !!

  • is it weird that I've always written like this? Since 3rd grade when we learned cursive mine always looked....fancier... now I know why lol. This is what I normally write in. Weirdo me.

  • I'm still learning (not very good)

  • would it smeared the writing if you touch it

  • @TheLilaznboi14 Yes before dried. However, it take only a few minutes to dry and it will not smear when dried.

  • @TheLilaznboi14 aa a a how dumb are you????

  • this is beautiful

  • Really awesome, I wish I could do that, only one thing, as far as I know that's not calligraphy.

  • japaneese brush or somthing like that right?

  • the "C" & "a" were th best ;D

  • the "brush" called MAOBI~ in Chinese~It has been the main writing tool in china for over 2500 years!

  • thats what years of writing chinese characters will do for ya....so beautiful. I love writing characters!

  • Not too bad. It probably wouldn't hurt to take a pointed brush class or workshop. Your brush is a bit too steep in relation to the writing surface. Pointed brush requires a much flatter angle. This is causing inconsistencies in your strokes. Furthermore, you need to be writing at the correct speed.

  • Cool

  • Is it a brush, that you use for it?

  • @VasutasKollegina Yes. A brush.

  • 它很好。

  • Looks like Coca-Cola somewhat but still very beautiful :D

  • calligraphy can be done with a brush...japanese calligraphy is don with brushe strokes... calligraphy can vary in different circumstances... i dont think anything should be so specified... its still wonderful writing...

  • Hi yanghaiying,

I just love your wonderful skill and calligraphic brush-work! Thank you for showing your videos on YouTube!

Did it take long for you to become such a great Artist?

I have a tremor, and have decided to take up calligraphy as a pass-time, to try and control the tremor, and end up with something which may be just 1% as skill-full as yours!

I have now subscribed to your amazing site, many thanks for uploading such interesting videos.

  • very beutiful, just one question. can you do caligraphy with a fountain pen.

  • @rubikscube10111 I am learning, but not good.

  • Im sorry to say but i think that i see him/her tracing something so im saying that really you should use a fountin pen with different thicknesses because thats hw you make caligraphy and no offence t the man/lady doing this but if you are tracing well what im saying is if your tracing well you canuse anything but if your not its not good to use a brush plus calligraphy has both thick and thing lines so im sorry but i cant really call that "REAL" caligraphy sorry!

  • @ashleylovesprincess It's not important what we call it. It's not important if its pretty or not. I enjoy my brush movement on paper. That's all. By the way, I did not trace. I had written a few dozen the same thing and I used one sheet of exercise paper under this piece of paper tower or the ink do not mess my table.

    Thank you for your time.

  • @yanghaiying ok i am very sorry thank YOU for taking the time to respond to me

    thank you

  • @ashleylovesprincess It's me to say thank you. I really appreciate what you have pointed out. You make me think and want to do more and better. Sincerely, Haiying

  • @KalKyuLayTor That was a brush. Chinese painting brush. Or watercolor brush will do.

  • you should do wedding invitations and special event cards!

  • wooooooooow nd i tought ihad nice writing

  • what type of pen and paper did you use and were could i get some

  • 毛笔?maybe a good idea

  • you should fix the 'g''

  • the white noise plus the sound of the brush stroke is so relaxing and the cherry on top is the awesome work you make

  • dang thats amazingly AWSOME!

  • wow! wow, wow!

  • creative, im learning right now! It seems hard at first but I can't wait until I can write like you... :)

  • wow! East meets West! Chinese calligraphic pen for western callirgraphy style. cool.

  • lol i was like "why is the 'y' so long?" but in the end it turned out good :D

you should use a fountain pen or something

  • @blackxknight Thank you. As you can see I was lost and I do use calligraphy fountain pen also.

  • @blackxknight Yeah It was great until you did the "Y" look to the automotive pinstripers for help with your filagree.

  • @blackxknight Original calligraphy is performed with a brush, or with a goose feather

  • başarılar sayfamada beklerim

  • nice

  • thats beautfiul!

  • superb

  • awsome

  • great

  • oye, cual es el nombre de ese pincel?

  • wow. this is an art form on its own

  • Jeolousy MUCH:(

  • took ya 3 mins to write calligraphy!!

imagine trying to write a letter to nanna!!

  • no it only took 1 minute and 1 second the rest was just doing wavy lines throughout the paper and a letter would only be like half an hour :)

  • @camtuffley Dude it's art,you can use e-mail for letters. Some people try to keep this form of art alive what is so hard to understand lol.

  • @AmurgAprins i do realise that.

there is a real need for a sarcasm font

  • For future reference a little :p generally gets the point across

  • well lol you wouldnt use a big calligraphy brush like that and you certainly wouldnt be that fancy youd use a nib and try to be as fast a posible yet soft enough to not rip the page.

  • you really lost it on that Y. Should have quit while you were ahead

  • precision :)

  • this looks better than a preformatted design from a computer! Great Job! i am a subscriber now!

  • I love making Calligraphy and people always comment on how I write because I write calligraphy for everything!! keeping it alive!!

  • Very wonderful! your so steady and flows so naturally

  • i thought the y would just distry the whole thing when you started it, you know, but then you made it look so ... creative

  • my mom bought me a calligraphy thing so im practicing it i know how to do all the letters but i have troubles with the a sometimes

  • Whoa, that is great! I have never seen someone work a brush with your level of finesse before. Very nice.

  • at the begining i though the "y" will destroy all the effect, but in the end... it isn;t bad, though :D

  • True, the y was not right at the beginning, so I was trying to find a way to get out. I did not expect it came out this way.

  • ahh, so it was like improvisation, right?

    respect :)

  • ROFL the Y just keeps on going, haha. Looks very nice, i always thought that stuff was done on computers!

  • It usually is, but there are some who kept the old art alive and boy, I think it is really worth it to learn!

  • does the prush have a code name ir a name ?

  • im learning this... any tips ?

  • Yes, get a book, copy the model, many many times. This is how I learn everything.

  • that was really cool it was nice to sit and watch, kinda relaxing

  • The stuff at the end looks nice but the beginning of it, at the 'y' looks ugly.

  • Does your hand ever get tired from doing these practices? It looks very strenuous on the wrist and forearm.

  • ROFL wiith the dot on the "i" in the end !

  • Calligraphy can make people ROFL, ha,I am so flattered. Thank you.

  • cool pen...I hear cars in the background

  • its a brush?

  • Wow your brush skills are clean and tight, and yet I thought pens were hard, I could only imagine how hard using a brush would be LOL. Keep up the good work, I'll be up at the level someday~~~

  • your videos r cool

  • did u copy it? over a piece of paper cause i saw paper below

  • No. That might be an exercise paper of much smaller size, put under to protect the lower paper from getting wet. Thank you for being to attentive.
