@shulsey84 I agree with this. I'd love to have a cat but in our house we have a leather sofa and we know a cat's claws would damage it. So we aren't getting a cat. I would NEVER do something so cruel to a cat, although I couldn't anyway, declawing is illegal over here, thank god :)

XD My cats made that exact same sound when I had to bathe them (I no longer have them). They kept getting fleas, so we kept having to give them baths with flea shampoo. I swear our neighbors thought we were torturing them. Your guy was pretty good about it. Ours HATED baths. I had to go in in "cat bathing gear"--a rain jacket with a sweatshirt underneath and a pair of gloves on my hands to protect myself from bites and scratches.
our cats just sit there and wail too. but we use a shower, if we tried to put them in a bath like this with no shower doors, they would jump out. and to those of you commenting that say you were scratched up I do feel very sorry for you. All three of ours are declawed. Yes I know it's not nice, but our furniture and are skin would have been torn to shreds by now if we would've left them

I bathe both my cats every few months because it helps with the shedding and puking (since they're not ingesting so much hair). One of them actually enjoys it.
There are times when you have to bathe a cat. If they get into something that is toxic, like getting covered with grease and motor oil from being in the engine compartment of a car, you don't really want your cat licking that off.

Everyone is saying you don't have to bath a cat. Not true if your cat has fleas of if it was sprade by a scunk or something toxic. (I've had fleas and skunk. Nothing toxic yet...)
You dont have to bath a cat. Nature has already took care of this proccedure. A cat is constantly bathing and is as clean as it can be. If you want your cat to smell soap , dont get a cat, you are not capable of co-living with a cat. Cats should be washed under special circumstances, ie if they have been in touch with smth toxic harmfull or if it is extremely hot etc.
We've never bathed our cats, true, but they've never rolled in something dangerous, and they are constantly cleaning. There's only one part of them that they can't reach, which a small part of their back, which they rid of ticks and suchlike by dirt bathing themselves. This is what they're doing when they roll in soil or dust. They can look after themselves.
However, had they rolled in something dangerous, then I wouldn't hesitate to bath them. It's the individual cat that matters.

I bathe both my cats every few months because it helps with the shedding and puking (since they're not ingesting so much hair). One of them actually enjoys it.

There are times when you have to bathe a cat. If they get into something that is toxic, like getting covered with grease and motor oil from being in the engine compartment of a car, you don't really want your cat licking that off.

I have lived with several cats since i was 1 month years old , 30 years ago , and i have never ever gotten any illness from them. Never.And i wasnt bathining them, except from special reasons.

Your hands have, your ass has, your wc , kitchen livingroom...probably more of what the cat has...the cat is doing perfectly with its own bacteria, as you do the same with yourself. If you dont want the cats bicteria, dont get a fucking cat, insted of bathing it like a fucking baby. They are not toys. Of course i am not speaking of diseases that may harm you, or the cat, where a bath doesnt do anything about them anyway. ``

Everyone is saying you don't have to bath a cat. Not true if your cat has fleas of if it was sprade by a scunk or something toxic. (I've had fleas and skunk. Nothing toxic yet...)

You dont have to bath a cat. Nature has already took care of this proccedure. A cat is constantly bathing and is as clean as it can be. If you want your cat to smell soap , dont get a cat, you are not capable of co-living with a cat. Cats should be washed under special circumstances, ie if they have been in touch with smth toxic harmfull or if it is extremely hot etc.

We've never bathed our cats, true, but they've never rolled in something dangerous, and they are constantly cleaning. There's only one part of them that they can't reach, which a small part of their back, which they rid of ticks and suchlike by dirt bathing themselves. This is what they're doing when they roll in soil or dust. They can look after themselves.
However, had they rolled in something dangerous, then I wouldn't hesitate to bath them. It's the individual cat that matters.

that is what cats do when they are really angry trust me i learned the hard way XD one time i brought this other cat to my house (i was going to take care of it until it my aunt returned) and then my cat picked up the scent and stared making that noise and boy was it angry when i stared laughing

Fucktards. Yes cats clean themselves. But they aren't as clean as they could be. Some people just want their cat or cats to be as clean as possible. AND, it stops them from getting hair everywhere! Not completely, but it helps. If you think this is cruel, you must be caked in dirt.

How is it exactly that Your Pussy managed to get so dirty in the first place? What's it been doing, & where has it been? Tongue baths not getting the job done? It is interesting that it complains but doesn't rip You to shreds. I had to hold a Cat once while My Mother did some Medical Treatment of an Infection it had. I put on heavy work gloves & at 6'2" Tall &200 Pounds it took all My strength to hang on to it! It was biting & clawing the gloves &still almost got away! They are Amazingly Strong!
