  • WOOOOOOO PIG SOOOIEEE!!!

  • This has got 2 be the best title games I ever seen.

  • 40 minutes of Hell, baby.

  • 2,135 days passed between adRIAN Dantley and his NBA Detroit Pistons losing a Memorial Day 1988 playoff game at the Pontiac Silverdome, 79-78, to the Boston Celtics on the day CLINTON Calvin Dean YEAGER (515-96-3721) was born and 42nd prez Bill Clinton watching Arkansas beat Duke for the 1994 NCAA men’s title in Charlotte, NC on 4/4/94. Future Detroit Piston Grant Hill added 12 for Duke, while coach Mike KRZYzewSKI was born on the 24th b’day of test pilot Charles ELwood “Chuck” Yeager: 2/13/47

  • This is what Happens when Duke does NOT get the late crucial calls by the Refs.

  • can anderson bring back 40 min. hell...... we shall see....

  • Scotty was a player to play in best Europeen teams if not in NBA, I've known him personally playing for Zito Vardar from Veles, Macedonia. He had around 42 PPG in Macedonia play-off final in 1997, ask Vlada Dragutinovic who was guarding him, by the way Dragutinovic had stopped best players in 1992 final four when Partizan won Europe....

  • @SojaTeks1 hes From Louisiana.. Scotty Thurman is a Great Guy.... i am His Barber

  • @Francojacko I know, say hello to him from Mitko from Skopje, my father was Trajce that was member of the Board of the club.....

  • @SojaTeks1 sooon as i see him.. ill show him this

  • Williamson and Thurman were both sophomores in 1993-94.

  • what seed was arkansas at that time?

  • @jamiedw21 they were a 1 seed I believe and a 2 seed the next year when they went back to the title game.

  • im only 15 right now but i wish i could have seen that game...it's just a shame that that is the only title game arkansas has won...i wish they had a team like that now

  • I was an 11 yr old high as a kite on Arkansas that season

  • give it a couple of years, we'll be back in it.

  • @ 2:04 Arkansas is in Hog heaven

  • they showed all those jeff capel hi-lights but capel was the reason why duke lost this championship. he had a terrible game ! he was a liability that grant hill and the boys could not compensate for.

  • @vwnclubb You are sooo right...Capel cost Duke and coach K a fith national championship that night..he had to have double digit turnovers....why the hell did K leave him in there to sink Duke?????

  • Look what Mike Anderson is doing with Mizzou now, they have a great team 40 minutes of HELL!!!

  • WOO PIG SOOIE! GO HOGS!

  • @austinjgale havent done shit since hahaha

  • @lennex88 ahh thank you so much for your insight. it really helped alot.

  • I couldn't help but notice: Scotty Thurman, the Arkansas Razorbacks star who clinched the national title for his team with a high-arching 3-pointer in the 1994 Final Four in CHARLotte was born NOV. 10, 1974. The date 11/10 can be spoken 1110, perhaps reminding of the dominant news-talk radio station in CHARlotte, NC, WBT-AM, frequency 1110 on the dial. The station no doubt went wall-to-wall with the Final Four in their city

  • Cool Mike Anderson, hugging Richardson. M-I-Z!

  • Nolan would make them shoot over a broom stick that he would hold in front of them to get the arc like Scotty had on that last 3 pointer.

  • @greg19670 it wasn't Nolan that did that it was Scotty's high school coach

  • This is what happens when Duke does NOT get the late crucial calls by the Refs.

  • @gfscarface13 Cry babay wha wha wha

  • @gfscarface13: They didn't get the calls, but they got put in their trademark easy region with the weakest #1 seed. That is the only reason the Devils were even in the Final Four that year.

  • @sptrfn I guess.

  • im a duke fan but arkansas did deserve to win this game not easy for thurman to hit that three pointer to win the game over antonio lang coming at him, arkansas was very talented that year.

  • I'm not ready to close the book on Pelphrey yet. I know patience is thin, but he has this team on the rise. He showed a team that didn't know how to work as a team to win last year what it takes. Now he has to (and I think will) show them how to handle, and continue, success. His players are improving on, and more importantly, off the court. Don't worry, the Hogs will be back on top soon. Solid showings in the SEC and at least the NIT tournaments shouldn't be out of reach next year.

  • that's probably the dumbest thing i've ever heard in my life.

  • You hear writing? Impressive. O.K I get what you are trying to write, and I must ask you one question. How are you able to go about your life without ever noticing any of the statement you make?

  • wow. what kind of a loser would go out there way to say that. just kidding, i mean type it... since it means so much to you. but seriously does that really bother you or do you just not have a life? coach pelphrey is doing big things in little rock..

  • We're not exactly a non-traditional basketball school. We're irrelevant now, thanks to Stan Heath and John Pelphrey. But don't forget, we've been to 2 championship games, 6 Final Fours, 10 Elite Eights, 29 Tourney appearances.

  • yes you are

  • @qukarlz OK, we don't have the tradition of UNC, I'll give you that. But in the 90's, we were one of the big boys. During the 90's, the Heels went to 5 Final Fours and went to and won 1 title game. In the same decade, my Hogs went to 3 Final Fours and went to 2 title games, winning 1 of them. Sounds pretty similar to me. Of course, I understand that UNC has a tradition of douchebag fans. Being a traditional powerhouse has that effect. But why do I doubt that you even went to school at UNC?

  • LOL @ you reminiscing about the 1990's. that 2nd rounder arkansuck had with unc in '08 was a real nail biter HAHAHA

  • @qukarlz Yeah, that's what I figured. How are the Heels doing in the tourney this year? Oh, wait.

  • oh damn dude that was a GOOD one. your pigs haven't won shit in 15 years and your dumbass is taking jabs at the heels. arkansas sucks so much dick they didn't event get invited to the nit and your coach is fuckin john pelphrey and you have the nuts to talk shit about another school. stop trying to talk about sports dude. it isn't your strong suite.

  • @qukarlz you sound like an idiot. just sayin

  • @musicman2977 and the Hogs did beat a SUPER talented UNC squad in the 95 final four.

  • It's always cool to see non-traditional basketball schools win the championship. A lot of times it might be the only chance they ever get to win a championship.

  • Arkansas is considered one of the Top 15 basketball programs off all time, and they were top 10 until this horrible past decade.

  • I was attending a college in Missouri - almost everyone there hated Arkansas. After the game all the Dookey fans went to the dorm and closed their doors. It was soooo quiet....until we started callin' the Hogs. Great night for Arkansas. I really appreciate what Nolan Richardson did for us. Coach, if you ever read this - THANK YOU - you created exciting teams to watch - built an amazing sports complex - and took Razorback basketball to another dimension. You're the best.

  • Too bad Frank Broyles screwed up the basketball program

  • @Thompsonskicker11 Frank Broyles has done more for Arkansas sports than anyone else ever has or ever will.

  • @yoro68 Just wait until Petrino is done at Arkansas. Our future looks as promising as ever under him :D

  • I love watching DOOK get fucked in the rear.

  • douchebag

  • Scotty Thurman!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @cmiller213 his son goes to my school!!!!

  • @cmiller213 Ruston,La finest ..Scotty Thurman

  • @cmiller213 yeap... hes a cool guy... i am his barber.. Louisiana baby

  • arkansas may hav won, but u neversaw any of tthose guys in the nba do u?

  • In a way, it's that much more impressive. Coaching and teamwork made it happen.

Corliss played 10 years in the NBA though.

  • but was he ever an all star

  • That's a pretty stupid point. What does that say about Coach K that he had a borderline Hall of Famer before injuries leading his team and they couldn't beat Team YMCA? Why don't you contemplate that JAMARIO

  • hure, but what im trying to say is that all the people on that arkana team never really became anything in the nba

  • They were a deep, balanced team, and Corliss' height didn't transition into a PF in the NBA. But, they were a fantastic team no doubt. Almost won back to back..

  • scotty thermen to buddy jamari u dont no what ur saying

  • ok um actually yes 4 of there starting line up for this team went to the nba......u have no clue what ur talkin about

  • Corliss Williamson? He played for 13 years, and won a championship in Detroit.

  • he was anobody on tht team

  • Corliss was a nobody on that team? The Final Four MVP, All-American, two-time SEC POY, National and World Champion Corliss Williamson, drafted in the NBA lottery, a post presence for years in Sacramento before rounding out his career as NBA Sixth Man of the year on a Detroit NBA championship, was a nobody on that team? Good insight.

  • Corliss Williamson was the shit he is one the reasons why Arkansas beat duke in 1994 in Charlotte.

  • @hurtty LOL..who was the idiot that said that...? Wow!!!

    H~

  • Some of them went to europe or semi pro.

  • One of the best championship games played.

  • im a duke fan but at the time i was a fan of arkansas. i felt really good about the outcome of that game.

  • Everything is looking awesome so far. We just won our 17th ACC championship! Yeah! Go Duke!!!

  • And we (UNC) just won our 5th national championship! Yeah! Go Tarheels!!! Isn't it amazing how every time you win the ACC championship we win the national championship? Hell I don't care you can have all the ACC championships you want!

  • A day that will always be remembered in the great state of Arkansas.

  • I can't beleive it. 1 of Duke's six runner-up years. If duke had won everytime they made it to the national title, they would have had 9 national titles.

  • Just be happy that we have 3. We could easily have 0 if a few things didn't go our way. What if Duke didn't slide by UNLV in 1991 Final Four? UNLV was undefeated and if they played a little better the would've won. What if Christian Laettnar's shot against Kentucky in the 1992 elite eight rimmed out or what if Grant Hill's pass wasn't perfect? What if Duke wasn't able to pull off that 22 point comeback against Maryland in the 2001 final four? Let's just be happy we have 3 championships and not 0

  • Yeah you're right. I am happy we won those 3 championships. I'm a huge Duke fan! Hopefully we can win one this year. If we can beat teams like Uconn, UNC, Oklahoma, Pittsburge, and Wake Forest, then we've got it. Go Duke!!!

  • Even if Duke doesn't win a national championship, doesn't mean it's a dissapointing year. If we win the ACC regular season and tournament championship and get to a final four, I'd be happy with the season. Of course I want a championship just as much as anyone, but no matter how good a team is, it doesn't mean they're going to win it all, we were expected to win it all in 1986 and 1999, but we didn't, yet we were a 2 seed in 1991 and no one expected Duke to win it and they did.

  • That's very true. Let's hope for the best.

  • Well you haven't done a good job of beating those teams the last few years.

  • You must be talking about how we beat 2 top 10 years last year in the same week.

  • If Tate George of UConn didn't drop that steal out of bounds in 1990 in OT right before the Laettner shot, or if Sean Woods would have waited a second later to shoot in 92 in OT for UK or if the committee didn't put them in the weakest region almost every year in the late 80's and early 90's, they might not have made any Final Fours.

However, the team that they had that should have won it was the 98 team. They had UK down 18 and blew it. They would have pounded Stanford and Utah that year.

  • corey beck was the shit

  • That year Arkansas beat my beloved Wildcats in the Final 4. I gotta admit Williamson was a beast for the Razorbacks.

  • I was there in the Hogwild Band. I was the "HO" in the Tuba Section. Go HOGS!
