I grew up with Dennis since we were 14, as freshmen in N.Bergen H.S. We all had nicknames....trust me. By age 16, we all got together at a local West New York gym which is no longer there. I can tell you we all joked around hard, but also worked very very hard at this gym. Dennis is absolutely one of the most regimented, most disciplined, and applies his good intelligence like very few of us do. I'm proud to call him my friend and I'm also glad he is still the same kid I met in '82.
@zeppelinfanjeff Your friends with Dennis? Then you know Rich Scarpati, and Fernando Guerrero.I met Dennis at Rutger Newark( but I later transfered to Rutgers New Brunswick for sports). Those guys had fraternity together called KUZ( like Cuz the guido term refering to cousin).Anyway.I saw Dennis bench in college and he was hitting way into the mid to high 400lb range..just a freak bench presser.
Of course he touched...you don't get a "press" command until you touch, and stop the momentum (IPF rules). He got three white lights too, meaning he completed the lift with full control. The angle is just bad, and there is a shine on his chest from the light, theres no air under that bar.
I have known Dennis for many years and even trained at his gym for a few years and also went to Rutgers with him...he has always been a great inspiration!
Mr Cieri you are a true gentleman of this sport. extremely talented and not grossly over sized. An inspiration to all Natural Lifters. And thanks for competing at the WNPF Meets.
Dennis is my neighbor rofl.

The only thing I'll be nitpicky about is that he didn't touch. Though he powered it out nicely.
