  • whats the button above the reverse button?

  • So, im doing nearly 200mph and some idiot wants me to turn a switch on the steering wheel! Ok let me just pull over :)

  • @AnglOsAxOn2 they learn where the switches are so they dont have to look. nascar drivers would have to pull over though.

  • i miss those slow orange cars....

  • @FanDeAlguersuari now we have some slow green cars and superslow computer-build cars

  • well considering F1 branched off of nascar yeah id say it is a great sport :)

  • spyker??, there is no spyker in formula 1 :s

  • @ribasz 3 Maybe they WERE in F1? Like, 3 years ago...?

  • @LarsHavelte They were in F1 in 2007 with Christijan Albers and Adrian Sutil as drivers; in 2008 they became Force India F1.

  • STUPID ARGUMENT!

they are two different races and that is that.

Quibbling peeps, hmm... what to do/think of humanity? People = shit

  • presenter is a twat

  • F1 better than Nascar!!!!

  • ALT + F4

  • 60000€ a steering wheel :O don't even want to know how much the car costs LOL

  • haha looks like a futuristic playstation controler!

  • reason 4,345,768,354,978,132,645,746,657,567,888 why F1 is better than NASCAR, it just is

reason 4,345,768,354,978,132,645,746,657,567,889 why F1 is better than NASCAR fat turds dont drive the cars

  • I have only 4 buttons+2(shifters) in my old junky "Red Logi", booo,i want this one...Please Santa,i have all "A" in school... Ha ha ha ha hah.

  • Reason 1,324,762 why F1 is better than NASCAR...TECHNOLOGY! LOL!

  • and thats apply to any car produced in Europe vs car produced in USa

  • Of course! Why do you think the auto industry in America is going under?! LOL! (And in my opnion, should go under...lol) I have a 2002 Ford Focus w/ 72,000 miles, and I recently had to get a new engine for it. It just bugs me how everyone in America says we need to save the auto industry...FOR WHAT??? The cars they make are GARBAGE!!!! LOL!

  • im not arguing with you. im on the same page. i think we should support local car builders but how can you support something really really bad?

  • @TommyGuns666 reason why nascar is better than f1 because f1 is all technology and has no real driving skill thats why everyone from other driving leagues are switching to nascar

  • @zerorida No, it does takes a great deal of skill to drive an F1 car. Especially considering you have to turn right more than twice a year. And not "everyone" is defecting from other racing leagues to NASCAR. Most of the defections have been from IndyCar, which a totally separate league from F1, because there's more money in NASCAR than in IndyCar.

  • @zerorida

hah???? git out there, sit in one, and let's see you navigate a full field 50 laps boy. then you tell me again that there's no talent in f1. this pertains to all the teamwork, technology AND driving involved.

narscar is the same in that respect, generally.

so your comment is void. null. means nothing.

  • @KONERKOSLAM14 how dare you talk to The Great Lewis Hamilton like this you are in no way worthy of being a F1 fan,

  • @zerorida lol it would be much harder to drive a formula one car, things are much quicker, and everything is so tight in terms of track layout, and whatnot. F1 is like a science, not saying I don't like NASCAR, but give credit where credits due.

the reason people are switching to NASCAR is because Formula 1 is much more expensive to get into.

  • @TommyGuns666 Reason 1 why thats not true...the more technology, the less pure a racing machine becomes...Senna hated the technological suspension advances in the early 90's. He was a pure racing driver who loved driving a pure racing car. Technology blankets lack of driving skills. Example 1989 Nissan 240sx, no TCS, no ABS, no driving aids will always be more fun and challenging than a 2003 Nissan 350z with all the driving aids that technology provides. Real car= mechanics, not electronic.

  • 2007/8

  • When was Spyker in Formula One?

  • how big are f1 steering wheels. cm's please

  • Well if u do watch the vid it does have 2 clutchs

  • no i jus watched this one vid lewis said they have not 1 but 2 clutch, dont they say it on the video,i havent watched it yet i jus looked @ the comments 1st,but yeahhh

  • clutch????? i though F1 cars didnt have clutch? So when they shift they have to press bouth the clutch paddle and the gear up or down?

  • No they dont, the clutch is just for the pit box entry/exit.

  • Isn't the clutch paddle consider as a clutch?

you just do not use your feet to use it.. and instead use your hand

  • clutch is only used to keep the engine going at extremely low speeds / getting into 1st gear, once the car leaves first gear its auto-clutch from then on forward.

if a car spins out of control - the anti-stall kicks in to prevent the engine from stalling,

clutch is also used for the driver to start his engine in-case he stalls his engine from a spin-out

  • @nick031790 the clutch is not used to restart the car, the car can only be started with a starter mechanism plugged into the back of the car.

  • and of course i remember the gear up, gear down and the clutch "pedals" :P

oh.. and... who is that guy who's explaining?

  • how many time does the pilot take to keep that all in mind?

like, after watching the video i can remember the PC - Pit Confirm

    SC - Safety Car

    N - Nitrous

Tyre - To change traction control settings after switching from slick to wet tyres

    that's all xD

  • it's just like a video game controller, if you play video game everyday you would know all the buttons functions :)

  • not exactly man!!! I am addicted to video games, I have a PS2 at home, and there are only a few buttons compared to that steering wheel.

  • yeah now i've gotta agree lol.

  • What? F1 cars don't use nitrous, you fucking idiot. This isn't Need for Speed, kid.

  • lmfao @ whoever said that

  • Well no because you can't do anything in these videos to your normal road car, so it's basically just an insight to how F1 teams run. So what you said has no relavence what so ever. dumb ass!!

  • Umm yeah what he said is basically true. McLaren and Ferrari wont give away anything to the media because if they give away their secrets, then everyone will copy them!!

  • But who's going to copy them? I can't see Renault looking on youtube for ideas to make the car go faster. And this video doesn't even say much about that. It's just telling us what probably every F1 car has on it's steering wheel.

  • You would be surprised what teams will do to take off those extra tenths of a second. You see, McLaren's 2 bottom paddles on the steering wheel adjust the torque setting which is basically a legal form of TC, relative to Spyker who just have those 2 paddles as a neutral. This is supposedly McLarens 'secret weapon' and I'm sure if they did a video like this, a lot of teams would be watching it to try and make their own version of it.

  • I'm sure since basically anyone who cares a little bit about the technical side of F1 knows about those paddles then Mclaren's competitors also know about it.

  • Man I love F1, its motivated me to study engineering. These steering wheels are amazing bits of gear.

  • i wanna buy it for 50 dollars !!!!!

  • ya well i want to buy it for 40!!! in your face

  • i want that one 4 my car!!!

  • This guy is actually being quite witty. I don't understand why half of these morons are giving the guy grief. Especially the wanker cell068.

  • great video!

  • I have seen this vid before. The Guy is So annoying. Hes like " You are gonig to change that map to Silverstone" Like No Shite! Its comman sense. But GREAT VID!

  • Ugly guy in a garish shirt and a stupid hair style?

    Thats you isn't it?

  • Honestyly the vid is about the wheel... why are you talking about thier clothing and hairstyle... -_- lame

  • Yes.

    Yes you are.

  • wtf? lol mature... yes. yes i am.

  • You know youd pay good money to suck that guys dick, thats as close as youll ever come to being something in life.

  • all ur comments are dumb. when you reach adulthood you'll realise this.

  • If I were trying, my comments wouldn't be dumb.

All I was doing was getting at 'cello68' who was making fun of the guy on the vid. Then 'DrkBluePenguin' jumped in where he wasn't needed (or wanted) and I couldn't be bothered posting a proper comment.

And then you jump in to a conversation in which you were never involved.

Maybe when you grow up you'll learn to spell.

  • isnt jumping in on other peoples comments with irrelevant and offensive comments how youtube works ? I must have been misinformed .. sorry.

  • Yes you were misinformed.

Jumping into other people's conversations with irrelevant and offensive comments is just stupid and arrogant.

  • What a dickhead - oo a clown

  • its a steering whell that costs around £40-50k each. And i bet that, for as much as you think you know it all, you really dont. that guy probably forgot more bout cars and motorracing than you know. But i must say, F1 isnt motor racing, is a procession, LMS is a race, this isnt

  • Oh where is a horn button ;)

  • @TVKAOS Yeah in the midde of the wheel . BEEP BEEP get out of the way lol :P

  • superb !!!!!!!!!!

  • £42,000 well spent. Gimmie.

  • God Bless F1

  • baby. why does he keep saying that at the start. lol good vid though.

  • Cripes... The cars I film for you tube are a lot simpler/cheaper and break more ! LOL

  • nice one!! :)

  • Wow, had no idea how many controls are in a F1 steerig wheel.
