Anneke is such a beautifull woman with a beautifull voice. Too bad she left the gathering but agua de annique is also nice but i liked her better when she was with The gathering. Her voice just matches the music perfectly, especially on the souvenirs and how to measure a planet albums. Fantastic.

The Gathering's best times, mandylion is a masterpiece, nothing to argue. There are no words to describe that piece of art.Is like the perfect mixture betwen progressive and goth metal with the beautiful toch of anneke voice and soul, thanks to heaven all this things... at least once came up together and the result was mandylion, I was waiting for them to record an album like that again but that is a fantasy now... but maybe one day.... love The Gathering.

I heard this band on satallite radio's Liquid Metal XM40 and fell in love with this chicks voice. I heard more early stuff from the Gathering and can't believe i never heard them before. Typical of Metal bands, too many European bands that could have had a stronger following in the US if only given the chance. Thank you Liquid Metal for playing bands like this and keeping the music going.

Thanks a lot for this, a rare footage and a beautiful song. Anneke's voice sounds strong here. Her voice is cuter now but not this strong, maybe (most probably) it depends on the type of songs she sings with agua de annique these days

Her duet with Sharon of WI is an example - Sharen to me also has a slightly weak voice at times even though she's good, and it seems that Anneke is moving in that direction. I like her new stuff too but hope she doesn't lose the strength she's capable of.

The best times from The Gathering...all was perfect in Always, Almost a Dance, Mandylion and Nighttime Birds...but then in How to Measure a Planet and other next albums...the gatherin lost her essence.

Sure seems like there's a lot better telvision programs, musical concerts including metal bands, etc., over in Europe than elsewhere. Pinkpop & Rockpalast come to mind. Too bad a television company doesn't put out a DVD containing their programed concerts. Would be nice to get the complete Krakow 1997 concert theGathering had back in 1997.
