  • How much I want this Rickenbacker is unimaginable.

  • Nothing wrong with a "right handed Paul"...good heavens man-this si as real as it will ever get so who cares right or left? Do they sound like the BEATLES? 99% do! And then so what?

  • these guys are cool!

  • where do you get those suits?

  • We had them made specially for the tour by a tailor from Saville Row. We even had to get the fabric specially printed.

    ((ºJº)) -

  • their really nice suits! I wish you guys didn't stop playing.

  • One minor detail quibble on the instrumentation:

"George's" Rickenbacker 360/12 for "If I Needed Someone" wasn't the 1963 model (seen here in this video) that he used on "A Hard Day's Night," "Ticket To Ride," and other Beatles songs in 1964-1965, but a 1965 360/12 that had a slightly rounder look.

  • You are quite correct! The 'R' tailpiece Rickenbacker that George used from '66 was used on this track. At the Boudikon (where this section of our show is set) George actually had BOTH his 12-strings with him, but tended to use the 'trapeze tailpiece' Rickenbacker just as a backup guitar. As we used to take 23 guitars on the road for this show, we chose this Rick, as it was also used on AHDN, Ticket to Ride and 8 Days A Week. I hope the 'wrong' guitar didn't hinder your enjoyment too much...

  • Not at all. Regardless of that slight detail discrepancy, it was still a masterfully played show.

  • haha...you guys have far too much time on your hands :)...the real reason for this guitar was that I didnt even know George played a different Ric until i just looked it up and checked the validity of your claim....Well done you pair of smart arse Beatle guitar geeks :)

  • We Beatle geeks know our stuff. =)

I first noticed the difference when I saw THE COMPLEAT BEATLES years ago. I saw that George played Rickenbacker 12-string on much of the A HARD DAY'S NIGHT stuff, and was still using it in 1965. By the Tokyo concert in 1966, however, the Rick-12 had changed. I thought the guitar had been modified in some way, but it was actually a different guitar of the same model.

  • @stringhawke well done!!!!!!!!!! so many people get that wrong......it's great to know that someone knows their 'Beatle' gear

  • john ls looking a bit like Dave from SCTV

  • ummm....Paul is a lefty....too bad it spoils the visual effect...

  • Which is why our 'Paul' learned to play left handed (See some of our other video clips for other similar comments). This video clip was from 1996, and didn't manage to master it left handed til 1999.

  • There's that cutie again! So adorable! Makes me wanna scream, cry, and faint like the fans used to do in the good old days! LOL

  • Ohhh... such a teaser !!!

    ;-)

  • Simply the greatest EVER !!!!!
