Last time I ran track was in 8th grade. I was the "distance man" on the team hahaha. There was 1 guy who came in first every time every race in both the mile & 800. I'd be 2nd. I did not run my freshmen year because I ripped a muscular tissue thing in my leg. Well I'm back this year and running a sold 4:45-4:55 mile so i think I'm ready to win and shave some time of my mile. Down to maybe 4:30?
lond distance running will tremendouly helop with your 400m i do cross country and run the 400 and ive broken 50s and i know the distance on my legs helped the last 200m for sure
Dis reminds me of my race!! it waz zonals nd i was cummin 1st in 800m! but sumbody tripped me and i fell on the rough rubber track! my legs and arms were ripped open! despite of the unbearable pain i felt,i got up and i cont race nd wid full strength i waz again cummin first bt den i waz xhausted an i walke rest of the race!! i dint get any prize for the race but i still remeba the standin ovation i got frm d whole staidum! ppl personally came nd congratulatd me!! it waz an awsum xperience! :")
@2too6sicc Yes, longer distance training helps a lot. I train year around: Cross-Country (3-5mile race) and Track (400-800m race). So, both race types help each other. If you are better at sprinting (100-400m), then go for longer runs (>30min). The point is to keep your form compact and smooth for the whole run. It is tiring, but it will definitely help for your distance. On shorter runs, lift the knees and pull down with the butt, while flexing the abs. This will all help your form in a race.
nice vid... keep workin hard n great things will happen. i know

@DraconicVisage Thanks dude. Nice, the hurdle events are tough. I run the 4x4 too! It hurts, but it's exciting since it is last.

what are the times of your fastest 2miler and miler?
xSmo101x 1 year ago
@xSmo101x We didn't really have a true miler this year. Our 2miler ran 9:32 qualifying him for state in Illinois.
