well everybody in the NBA is a star. i mean if u think about it, if u make the NBA ur already better than the average baller. people like u just compare him to other players and decide that hes no star. just like in movies, if u can make one scene, ur considered a star. but to answer ur question, if ur in the NBA then yes ur a star, if not then u have no right or base to judge someones skill, someones whos actually in the league.

yes i do have a right as a fan who watches the nba i can do that. Mark Madsen aint no star the Lakers would have won the championships without him. He hardly played and didn't really do much besides make a fool out of himself at the rallies with his goofy ass dancing.

2. Mark Madsen was signed to the NBA.

3. Therefore, Mark Madsen is one of the most talented players in the world.

He may be the worst player in the NBA at the moment, but he's still one of the best.

and its a pretty simple logic. people dont know how hard it is to get to the NBA. skill is one thing. hype is another. one affects the other, like if u have skills, everyone will hype u up to being a top draft pick. but hype does not affect skill, so players who are overhyped, arent necessarily the most skillful. and its not their fault they're overhyped. so everyone in the NBA is a star, its the overhyped ones that look bad.
