I believe in him but not victor surge's versian. He simply stole it renamed it slender man. The picture are photoshoped to give a description like Der Ritter doesn't have extra limbs. I read this romanian story about a mother taking two daughters named sonia and stonia to pick berries when the slender man comes so the mother tells sonia to kill stonia but she ran away and got her father to figure out why theres a tall man watching them so he gets his axe and hours latter the mother comes back holding her father and sisters heads and she says now you have made it worst then the slenderman breks in and kills sonia

So german, romanian, celtic mostly europe so this is stolen.

Yes and no, the "slender man" everyone is talking about and the one this video is based around is essentially not real, however, these are a lot of myths with very, very similar details - The faceless, inhumanly tall humanoid with tentical like appendages mainly, along with the crossed circle symbol and the slow decent into insanity of his victims are all prevelent through various cultures mythology. But things like the suit and the name "slender man" were all created recently.
