it would have been funny if it was the real ship but they couldnt do that, because the doctor made a comment in a earler epsiode that he was on another ship that was said to be unsinkable and he ended up clinging to a iceberg. if they did use the real one. then 2 doctors would be on board

it did once have a forcefield in the original series but I think it was destroyed when they used realised it was still matter unlike everyone else and used it to start a reaction that should have destroyed omega in " the three doctors" plus its a great episode

Voyage of the damned might be a double doctor storie because you remember the ninth was on the titanic and when it hit the iceberg ( the tardis is not the iceberg cause the titanic brushed along the side of an iceberg leading it to sink) the ninth doctor clung to the iceberg and the tardis (which seems to have its own mind)takes the doctor somewhere else

on one of the original episodes the DR started acting weard when the titanic was mentioned, also in another episode it said the DR said he crashed the tardis in to it on perpus thinking the masters tardis's camoelion circuit had hidden it as the titanic

The TARDIS is actually in two dimensions - the inside is seperate from the outside. There was an episode with the Ninth Doctor that discussed that they do get seperated and can be affected seperately.

Definitely a far better way to end the series than they did with the last one - it didn't find it as amusing as this one. I'm definitely looking forward to this Christmas Special, moreso than I was looking forward to The Christmas Invasion.

Oops! Looks like the TARDIS materialised in the Atlantic in April 1912 in the shape of an iceberg, the console room being luckily near the top when the TITANIC crashed into it (or the Doctor might have drowned). Did the Master repair the Chameleon Circuit as well as making a Paradox Machine out of her (and disabling the Force Shields)?!
