  • i would kill for some one to tell me how to get this plz help

  • How do I get this?

  • that poor cow :(

  • Every PhysX video has some form of cow abuse

  • HOW I PLAY THIS GAME IF IT IS A GAME

  • 0:45 , lol, ,brutal, then someone gives the mouse to a spastic.... haha

  • yo guys, ive been looking fr a phsx simulator like this and lke the ones seen in other videos but i can't seem to find any. Help pls?

  • Poor cow :(

  • UDK and unity the best!!

  • Comment removed

  • 0:39 rofl

  • Holy cow xD

  • 1:00 moo?

  • i have this demo somewhere on my computer i was messing with it a while ago and im trying to find it... does anyone know where it is located by default

  • AI? no your right its pointless pfft

  • idd, lol @ cow.

like oblivion chars treated too hard..

  • I have PhysX on my card, (8800GT), and it's nice as a little feature, but it's not worth buying the card FOR the PhysX.

  • roflecow aahahahha oh wow

  • i just got it for free

  • holy cow,thats one hardware i m gonna get

  • How they will call that error? CowError? :-D

  • where can i get this?

  • rofl nice collisions

  • rofflecow

  • where to get the simultor from

  • OH CRA-- This is freakin' awesome!

  • poor cow xD

  • LMFAO thats exactly what i was gunna say !!!!!!!lol

  • well you know... he just get PWNED

  • Fuck, you beat me too it...

  • poor cow xD

  • havok is way better

  • havok is not better period

  • HAVOK isn't as powerful as PhysX - it's entirely software-based, while PhysX is both hardware and software based. You have your own freaking chip for physics - which allows for much better collisions, etc.

  • first of all. wtf is witht the cow? but i geuss it adds to the effect :D

second. HOLY CRAP WITH THE RUG! it's amazing!

  • They should make a new incredible machine game with this!

  • News Flash:

AGEIA PhysX has recently been acquired by nVidia,

i dont know if that is good news, or bad news...

  • Kinda good, because they are now all making nvidia and ageia physx compatiable with eachother. Bad news for ATI users tho.

  • Rug ripping is unreal!

  • where do you get this demo

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

    poor Cow :(

  • Cool physics video, but i think smushing the cow is a little harsh.

  • nice ^^ ... but lol @ the cow.. omfg .. rofl

  • the rip effect is freaking awesome

  • i wish i knew if it was possible to get that simulater

  • The last demo was nice.

  • Poor cow! never stood a chance :(

  • I know... it makes me sad :(

  • aww the cow :(

  • wow that is awsome

  • that's amazing

  • i saw some flickering after the cow

  • lol BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF THE RED COW

  • haha

  • Best phsyics engine I ever used, everything is commented so awesomely, perfect documentation... just don't rls it with a commercial app! lol

  • Pretty soon we will have to buy a good processor , GPU ,and Physics card.

  • Nice video, too bad most people won't fully understand what they are looking at.

  • Whoops, already replied to this one before XP

  • I am certainly one of those people.

    ^______^

  • W/E Works the same on my Quad Core Extreme..

  • :38 OMFG THAT POOR COW

  • Call PETA!!!

    lol

  • let me tell you folks from a german country boy: cow bodies don't behave like that.

  • Good thing it is simulating a balloon cow then :P

  • Crysis will show us that we don't need to buy a PhysX card ;)

  • Is this inflatable cow to be featured in an upcoming game ?

  • awesome :O i liked when the cow got pounded XD

  • Oh shit! Holy f**k! The last one was just amazing :O Extreme :D

  • I dont have this thing, but whill my quad core extreme do better?

  • i have this cloth demo but yet i can view it just as good as it looks there and yet i dont have a physx card? i say they are a waste of money. its better spending the money on a better cpu so u can get the same results as u would with a ppu

  • Wot do u actually do in PhysX? Is it a game? Where can I get it? Thx.

  • thats some top of the line shit lol

  • While we can view Havok and PhysX as competing technologies, since they are different answerers to the same problem, they deal with different area's of physics.

Havok FX cannot come close to PhysX ability to compute game play altering physics because it still relies on the CPU for collision events, while Havok FX exceeds PhysX in using physics for visual effect due to stream processing on shader pipelines.

Which one gets standardised is down to convenience, as neither is superior to the other.

  • The carpet tearing at the end looks good. Will make a good job inside games. But still no realtime application deals with calculating selfintersections.

  • Please remind that this is from one of the early PhysX versions , and self-collision enabled cloth is already a fact in the current versions.

  • Wow, I need to see that.

  • What you got against cows man? XD Anyways as I said in a previous video this is NOTHING compared to DMM.

  • they both came from the same system, only difference is Havok does not support the Hardware Acceleration

  • yes it does

  • Havok = Havok FX

    Ageia = PhysX/Novodex

Both are major competitors, havok uses it's own engine and the cpu/gpu. Please at least do some basic research.

  • PhysX uses novodex engine as does havok and all these other engines so why all the fuss

  • Havok doesn't use the novodex engine ...

  • Why would Havok and Ageia BOTH use Novadex? Surely then they wouldn't be competitors?

  • After watching this again I notice some glitches... the cow/balloon gets stuck in the wall ( havok physics does this in oblivion) and the part where the balls roll throught the cloth pipes you can see the balls clipping through the sides...

the last scene where the cloth rips would be awesome in WWII shooters!!!

  • PS3 should be able to do all this - Cell & physX are very similar chips.

  • No they are not. They are in fact extremely different. PhysX is a very specialized piece of hardware. Cell is a general Purpose CPU with some slave units.

PhysX has more similarities to a GPU than to Cell.

  • That comparison comes from the ageia dev relations guy I met.

I understood them both to be networks on a chip comprised of simplified CPU's with ISA's optimized for vector-float operations, whose processing elements are constrained to work in on-chip local-store memory. They can both manage transfers to & from external memory so are not DSP's (although similar).

  • To put the similarity another way:

Like the cell they rely on asynchronous transfers to hide memory latency wheras GPUS hide memory latency with large numbers of threads. They are designed for larger problems than individual pixels or vertices, with more inter-unit communication. (cell LS dma, agiea switch-fabric)

They need to be far more general purpose than a GPU in order to handle complex collision algorithms, not just physics maths solving.

  • wow, this looks very good!!! why the hell hasn't this engine been used in games yet?!

  • Because you need a specialized card for it to be used on PC. On consoles... well, i am not sure.

  • The new PS3 has the same kind of driver as the Physx.

  • The PS3 (and all consoles) do not have the PhysX card.

  • Here is a extract from an article from the wikipedia site.

"Middleware physics engines allow game developers to avoid writing their own code to handle the complex physics interactions possible in modern games. Sony has licensed the PhysX SDK for their PlayStation 3 video game console."

    Reference link - en(.)wikipedia(.)org/wiki/Physx

  • Which means it uses Ageia physics, not a PhysX card >_<

  • Can someone send me this program? I cant find the link for it on a ageia website.

  • Dude i belive that the phyx card just be a blow in the wind i think the best idea if ur a gaming geek.. u need to wait the development op grafik and all that kind of stuff is growing fast so i don't think it's a good idea to buy the physx card yet

  • vry impressive

  • It's not about the goruad shading or lack of antialiasing. This is physics tech demo, not a fancy-but-usless (TM) texture effects demo.

  • You tell em!!!11!!1 lolz! y34h!

    ...anyway... nice video.

  • wow nice vid >=)

  • wow. but rly wtf? a cloth cow. weird! whered u get this program? so realistic

  • That whole video was gorgeous.

  • I like how at the cellfactor game site, they say "Get an AGIEA PhysX Accelerator. Now available for less than you think!" umm $199? yeah that's nowhere near what I think a card for a PC is worth.

  • uhm, do realize that it's a totally new area. there's no competition yet and they still need to get themselves set up, so.. they have a good reason to ask that much.

  • What do you think its worth then.

You said "a card for a pc" meaning ANY card no matter what it is.

The fact that you dont realize the hardware differences between your sound card and your graphics card means you should shut down your PC right now and overnight it to me for parts.

  • this was aimed at bits010101 (stupid youtube didnt put it as a reply or something)who said:

  • please reply to this message with your address so you can recieve the computer

  • rofl, yeah ok, more likely that ill recieve a pasty 14 year old at my door than a computer.

  • Cellfactor:Revolution is the game this is used in.

  • wow this is amazing

  • wtf happened to hte inflatable cow? why doesn't it track gas movement within, at least, cloth objects?

  • This was recorded in the 2.4.4 , The current version (2.7) has fixed these sorts of problems already.

  • Guys.... do you think is worth buy a Physx card. becuse i might buy buy one :D. please help out

  • the cow was a violent scene... i feel bad for it :\

  • lol at the cloth cow...

  • The ripping was incredible.

  • This Simulation Game its so grate to destroy a cloth ore other things. Are this Demos were are on the Ageia Card Installation Disc or are this Games are making self with a Editor. Please write soon

  • hey man i want this game can i play it without a ageia physx card please write me soon i want it so much

  • wat game?

  • i really like that cloth ripping thing, would be cool with a character wearing a cape or similar which with time gets more and more destroyed in battles/not careful when trying to reach diffucult places and get stuck with it hehe

  • Has anyone actually seen Havok FX do cloth physics such as this? I'd like to do a comparison.

  • These are the example demos , making your own is possbile as well.

  • Where did you get these demos? Self made?

  • Friggin awesome. I don't care if the GPU does it or a dedicated PPU, this is amazing.

    and yes, poor cow =/

  • Nice video !

Latest graphic cards may discharge CPU from physic calculations thanks to shader 3. But are GPU architectures optimized for physic calculation... I do not think so... PPU certainly are. We'll see ;).

  • What the...you can actually tear it apart?! omg :)

  • wow! i am looking forward to the day when games will use that!

  • Very nice video. Thanks Panasonic.

  • Amazing.

  • Who says they can't speed it up?

    lol poor cow.

  • I love the part with the inflatable cow...

  • To bad it looks slow motion and that is due to processor speed. PhysX is suppose to be a Physics Processing Unit and it looks a bit slow. If they can not speed that up then what is the point?

  • What? the PhysX chip has been specially engineered to do Physical calculations , it has a multi-core specially created for this job.The slo-mo is caused by the framerate of 25 (blame fraps).

  • can you tell me if you need a bfg card in order to run the physx card , im running an ati card right now, also i heard the card uses a regular pci slot is this true ?

  • You just need a PhysX card , mine is from Asus.

  • is there any Physics card beter than other Physics card ( ur is from ASUS, mine is from DELL)

  • it should be fine, you can run the physx card with your set up. Just meat the system requirements like most of the stuff you buy for PCs. I have the Asus physx card, and a GeForce 8600GTS. Works great. You should have no prob. and Yes it is a PCI slot, I heard a roomer that they were releasing a PCI-E 1x modle but since the 8000 GeForces have Physx in them, they may not. But I went with it anyways to squeez more FPS. For more Info, goto the 3w . newegg . com They have what you need ;)

  • Everything ive read states that the physics card lower fps because of the added strain on the gfx card from rendering everything that the physx card produces.

The card doesnt make the game go faster, it makes it look better, meaning more work for the gfx card.

Ive seen benchmarks to prove it.

  • That's only for effect physics, it does however improve performance when PhysX is used for the complete physics processing part.

  • OMFG it rips too?! Can you imagine putting cloth and ragdoll physics together with like sword or zombie games?! Imagine zombies actually ripping off flesh, or how the skins rips when you cut through people and stuff. Or having actual real physical skin scars and clothing scars and scratches in your iron armor when playing sword fighting games. This is sick.

  • The... the... physicsnet is not just a big truck, it's a series of tubes.

    $200 for this card.

  • how much is going to cost this physics card?

  • please where i can find these demos?

  • where can i find these demos?

  • Don't worry , more games will support it soon enough.

  • Cloth Physics, perhaps, but it's unlikely they'll be used through the PhysX card, there just isn't enough users of it to warrant investing in the engine.

  • The tubes and balls are just awesome! Love to see a game with heavy use of cloth. It's whats missing from characters today.
