I couldn't agree with you more on Mike. I love the version of CTA from PTW. Search youtube for "Chick Corea Elektric Band. Mike Miller". I'm sure you've seen it. Amazing...
First saw Mike Miller play in a bar in Ames Iowa called Genuine John's in 1971 in a group called Zero Ted. The band was driving away customers, but I was totally blown away. The repertoire was Mahavishnu Orhchestra, Chick Corea, Frank Zappa, Yes, etc. Nobody was playing like that in the Midwest at that time. The drummer was Mark Craney, who went on to play with Tommy Bolin, Tower of Power, Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson. I eventually replaced Miller when he went to LA.
This concert was absolutely amazing. You never know what will happen when you have Miller and Brechtlein together, but you do know it will be absolutely amazing!
Great musicians. Everytime I here/see Weingart and/or Brechtlein I'm truly stunned. Technical and tasteful are often worlds apart... not with those guys. Great video.
Mike Miller with Chick was the best guitarist and Paint The World is just unbeliaveble album
