I saw Jim live at The Landing in San Antonio during TMEA and I have to say...he's an amazing person. I went every night I was in town and on the third night, I was introduced to him and we began conversing about cornets. As a trumpet player of some years, I had never looked into one but since I had recently found dixieland, I purchased a cornet at the convention. I went back on the last night of my trip and he used my cornet for the entire performance. He even sat down and showed me a few songs.
What year was this?
