one of many tv shows spawned by the james bond craze in the 60's, but i remember how cool the show was when it came on with this theme song!!!! so very, very cool for the times and i agree that rivers deserves more recognition for his work.

Yup, this was a theme song, but not from a Bond movie. From the Wiki:

"Secret Agent Man" (song), a song written by Steve Barri and P. F. Sloan used as the opening theme for American broadcast of the TV series Danger Man

Danger Man, a British TV series broadcast as Secret Agent in the U.S. from 1964 to 1966, sometimes erroneously referred to as Secret Agent Man. The series featured Patrick McGoohan as secret agent John Drake. The song was released by Rivers as a single in 1966.
