Emil is an extremely talented musician and I have much respect for him because of that. I retract that comment. Go over to the MetalSucks website and click on Eyal's column, under the first post of his at the top of your screen will be a comment written by "J" on 12/22/10 in response to another users comment on Eyal's post that should explain my position better.

In all honesty, as a guitarist, it's easy to spot when one has professional training. This man has it. I'm not saying its bad or wrong or anything, quite the opposite actually but just be true to who you are, don't try and pass yourself off as a "blue collar brawler" if you're more like an "aristocratic spoiled nancy".

3 string sweeps are easy(ier) than 6, but its still great none the less =)

This is a common thing said by a lot of people, but it's rather silly in my opinion. Three string sweeps ARE easier, but fitting six string sweeps in tonally while not boring the listener can be difficult. Not every sound needs the deep bass behind it either (Although this helps give a bubbley effect). Also, he doesnt just do 3 strings in here... haha

I find 5 string sweeps with 2 notes on the high E and 2 notes on the A to be the most comfterble, 3 string sweeps involve a lot of picking movements to get over the G string and rake the sweep downwards again.

and not to be cocky, but listen to anything by jeff loomis/'nevermore and your 6 string tonality theory goes straight out the window :) especially the 'I,voyager' solo.
