@MrNickape I'm not 100% sure, but my theory is (because of what Freeman said) that the shield and the aliens were infected with the bacteries in water, which are higly deadly if you're not imune. We humans build an imune system against water a long time ago, but as newcomers to our planet, aliens are not imune to water, and that is why they got infected and that also ruined the shield? :D Sorry if my english is bad!

so the aliens come down here for our blood, but how do they do it? while the dad and his daughter were still in the basement i saw that the tripod used some time of needle to exstract the blood but when in the cages some kind of mouth devours them or is that just some way to get them in the tripod so they can use the needle later?

@WKreveiws Looking at the machines, ill say (I'm guessing) they don't have enough room too "store" the blood, since it looks like they spray one place, and then move on to another, so maybe (I'm still guessing) they are collecting the humans and saving them for later? Or maybee, all that thing that they get sucked into does, is picking the people from the cages, and putting them on the ground, ready for the needle.

@Pradadevilll i think the big mouth might or might not be used to put the humans on the ground because it goes into the inside of the machine and once inside they extract the blood from the human inside, then again what do they do with the body? im pretty sur i wouldn't want a decomposing body on the floor so they might need to extract the blood outside so they don't have to worry about the body.
