Shaw Communications doesn't care about the people. They only care about profits. We've lost income due to Shaw's poor business internet service provisions over the past 3+ years and it's only getting worse as time progresses. Shaw is not in this for YOU people, they're only concerned with profit. When will people open up their eyes and stop defending Shaw's incompetence? They've been screwing us all for decades ranging from TV, to internet to digital phone and other services.
What a waste of time, Why is it Shaws responsibility to babysit someone who doesn't pay there bill. Don't pay for food and guess what... You don't eat.
1) The first 1:20 of your video is irrelevant, thus boring and unnecessary
2)Shaw doesn't charge $96 a month for a piece of hardware. That's a one time charge for not returning it. If you had paid any attention to the bill that would be obvious.
3) That's BS that no one contacted your mom before shutting her off.
4) Shaw is not your mom's babysitter-it's up to her to mange her bills, and if she can't then you should.
5) Re:last line of video: The only thing the world knows now is you are ....
@wuvhandles I won't argue with you it appears you know everything but this video has been on my channel for almost a year where have you been? if I have any future problems with Shaw cable I will let you know so you can give me the answers.
The real problem is you allowing your moms phone bill to exceed $600....from what you have stated you would have prefered if they cut her off sooner. Shaw is not a financial planner or estate manager. You sir should be ashamed of yourself. If you were really concerned about your mom YOU would be ensuring her bill was paid. Shame on you.
senior or not how long should Shaw allow your mother's bill to go unpaid. If her bill was $100 a month they gave you 6 months grace period. Maybe visit your mother more often and insure that her bills are being paid. Rather then blame all the utilities when they cut their services off.
Lol. Just curious if she didn't pay her lifeline bill if they would cut her off too?? I agree that they should have called or sent letters but if you don't pay for anything in this world it gets taken away. That's my 2 cents.
There should be an emergency phone system in place for all low income seniors in Canada. These phones could be connected directly to 911 and once activared an emergency response team would arrive. Also the system should include 2 family member contacts if the senior is in distress but not life threatening allowing the family member to respond. And for those who are thinking this would cost too much for the tax payer just remember the tax income that our government wastes minute by minute. Good
I think what you really want to say is you feel guilty for not helping out your mother, helping her understand a bundled rate and maybe setting up an auto debit to pay those forgotten bills. I called Shaw and their most expensive phone is 55.00 not 90.00. Sounds like your mother could use some help as Telus will want to be paid as well.
here is an idea... if your mother is having a hard time budgeting her bills maybe you or perhaps a family member go over this stuff with her. A service provider not getting paid for their services cuts you off.... is this something new? For you to make this video and say that shaw is putting a price on a life is so ridiculous it isnt funny. Btw that phone modem is not $96 /month that is the price of unreturned equipment.
@tizzle1791 My mother does not have a hard time budgeting her bills, If you do some research about service providers you will find that service providers are the most likely group of people to take advantage of senior citizens and disability clients. My mothers bill should never have reached the point of $600 before her phone service was cut and she did not recieve any notifications from shaw cable related to her account balance untill it reached over $600.
@buskerjames The end result is that my mother spoke with shaw cable and they appologized, the bad thing for shaw is that they lost a customer she is now with telus also the the phone modem is $96 a month on her bill I took it back to shaw cable and have the reciept. just one more note, The videos I put onto my youtube channel are my oppinion and anyone who does not like them has the option of not watching them but I do thank you for your post
@tizzle1791 I said it the way I see it I really don't care what anyone else thinks, any service provider if its shaw, telus or any other business should not allow a senior citizens bill to go through the roof before sending notification I'm still a shaw customer and if they ever did this to me I would tell them to hit the road
I would again call Shaw and have them reverse some charges, I have Shaw home phone and I only pay 65 a month and have unlimited long distance to all of North America.
Explain to them she is a senior and have them send you an email copy of the bill so you can see it to tell them you are a guardian. If all fails go to the papers and the news and tell them about this and they will help to resolve this.
@emsgirl79 Thank you for your ideas, I'm going to see whats going on and why this bill was allowed to go so high it just seems like shaw may have been trying to take advantage of a senior citizen that does'nt have much money and lives on a pension.
I surely hope not.I thought that they were better than that.
@Rhal95 if you watch my video closely you will see its not about cable it's about phone service, It also shows that there isn't a problem charging for service but there is a problem allowing a bill to exeed $600 to a pensioner then cut the phone service without notification when they are conected to a life line. sorry if I confused you

Sorry dude, but cable does not equal life.
Try Telus tv or Bell. Shaw has plenty of competition. If you owned shaw, you'd see the problem with not charging for a service.
