it is made up of dust and gas just like all other stars. i can't explain this alot but the planeys and i think the moon give the sun its energy. a few billion years from now it will in fact cool off. it is possible that the earth was once as hot as the sun maybe around the time of the big bang. i was taught that the earth moves 1.45 inches away from the sun each year and soon the solar system will be a dark place. maybe proxima centauri will be our next sun but dont worry about it though.
