the thing i couldn't understand was how did they miss out the alien ship when they Build the station the ship was HUGE how could anyone miss that even when buliding HUGE station on lv426
the planet was very dark but is strange that they did not see in considering how far in to the future the films are set.i watched this film the other day and you do have to ask yourself would you go into the ship coz i fvcking would not,i would want an army with 100 squads and floodlight the damn thing,scary films,the first is the best and 2nd is almost as good or the same,i watch the first in fear keep thinking of meself in the situation,

In fact not going into a crashed spaceship filled with leathery eggs is as good of an idea as not playing with a Rubics cube like object with strage gliphs on it, not swimming in the ocean at night (espeically if you're a hot young woman), and not living in a neighborhood that has an "Elm Street" or "Crystal Lake" in it.
Also agree with you about the fear factor of these films. Alien was scary because you don't know was was coming. Aliens was scary because you know what was coming.
cool, an alien movie on VHS also, i've never really knew the difference between a regular movie and the special edition or director's cut, untill now ;)
directors cut have some deleted scenes like one including Newt' n' her family riding a vehicle, when her parents die and more.. definetely it is much better the theatrical cut, relentless action for sure
