How about ATT Iphone? Does this jailbreak work on that? Is there any difference between Att and Verizon? I want to unlock an Iphone 4 to be able to use on metro pcs.

@albar18 I'm not sure. I'm not really knowledgimle with unlocks. I just use Verizon. I do know the iPhone 4S's will work on other networks once unlocked, as long as they're GSM or CDMA. That's about the extent of my knowledge in the unlock department, sorry :-(

My wife has a Verizon iPhone 4 - about 6 months old. I have a brand new AT&T iPhone 4s - got it for Christmas. Both are patched to iOS 5.x.

All I want to do is swap the phone numbers, so she has the new 4s on Verizon, and I have her old 4 on AT&T. Same phone numbers, same data plans, same everything, just swapping the phone numbers. Is there any way you can think of to do this?

@noazdad You can only swap the phone numbers by porting the numbers. Which means transferring the numbers. You'll have to call AT&T & Verizon in order to do so. Unfortunately it's nothing something you can just go into the phone and enter the number you want the iPhone to use.

Let me know what ends up happening, and I'd recommend getting 2 iPhones on the same carrier, it'll prolly save you some cash, ya know?

@lanigan14 AT&T iPhone will not work on Verizon, they use different cell towers. iPhone 4s is interchangeable because it has CDMA & GSM Radios in it. Sorry about you're luck.

I got it to jailbreak however it brought up the itunes logo and has a usb picture under the logo. I can't get it to receive calls or do anything else. Also when I plug it into the computer it says "itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode. you must restore this iphone before it can be used with itunes." When I clicked on restore it asked me if I really wanted to delete all my content. AAAAaaahhhhh HELP! Suggestions????

None of the comments below have had this happen either... But there's ways of fixing it. I'm just not sure how. And as far as iTunes, yes you can still buy music from iTunes...

I have jailbroken my iPhone, and just bought some music recently. And I have also "UnJailBroken" my iPhone so it was "Restored" back to being normal...

There's really nothing to worry about, in my opinion...

@1980prettygirlrock I'd venture to say, maybe it didn't jailbreak properly, all you have to normally do, is open Cydia, and install Cydia, then once it's installed, just go from there. Try rejailbreaking it... Let me know what happens please...

@luckas1212 I have the VZW iPhone, but I'm definitely going to get the iPhone 5, you'll be able to sell your iPhone 4 for quite a bit of money, to offset the cost of the new one. I'd say you could sell the old iPhone 4 for about $400, which means the new one would run about $200!

although i make little calls on my phone. I havent had any problems with dropo calls. I also did the speed test with a attt iphone. Verizon had a slight advantage but nothing to blink an eye at. I had more bars than the other phone at the time.
