indeed i prefer archie/edith relationship more than gloria/michael. no frills, they are themselves to each other, whereas i feel gloria tries to be a liberal to please michael, and michael tries to be a liberal in part to act cool and is just as reactionary as archie to something his wife thinks that is counter to his thinking. see the woman's lib episode.

For me, at least, one of the top 10 episodes of this fantastic series. No one does paranoid better than Archie/Carroll O'Connor. The writing on this one was really superb, and yet another fabulous set of guest actors. Friends of 15 years at each other's throats, and the Jeffersons on Archie's side. How easily we can be divided and conquered. And it goes on and on, even today.
