I recently resigned as the Grand Knight, District Deputy and Chapter President. For me the organization places personalities before principles. It may be a Catholic organization, but it is not a Christian one. The Council in the parish that I attend operates counter to the values of the Church. Every organization experiences a life cycle and it seems that KofC is in decline. I would not recommend it for anyone seeking to deepen their relationship with Christ.
I would love to know where Voris thought those two voters were Knights...just because they were male and Catholic doesn't mean they were Knights. Second of all, do most of the Knights travel to promote the Order like the Supreme Knight? Of course not...Voris didn't bother to think that one through.
So here is a person who criticizes the K of C because they ask for money for their insurance programs and to promote their activities. Then at the end of the video, this CatholicTV group also asks to join them and support them. And by support that means money. Can someone tell me about an organization either social, religious or political that doesn’t need money to operate? And in all such organizations there are always bad apples but that doesn’t mean that their principles are wrong.
Despite bad apples within the order (some expelled/suspended, some not), my membership fees and premium will still be going toward pro-life and pro-family causes as well as charities that I support. The K of C remains "the strong right arm of the Church", as described by popes and Mother Teresa.
Reality to the Vortex: The Knights of Columbus are a Catholic Family Fraternal Service Organization. To become a Knight you must be a practical Catholic. That does not mean that you are the perfect Catholic. None of us are. Yes,the Knights of Columbus are a ProLife organization. Should we kick out every catholic that uses birth control? Isn't the Catholic church also responsible for allowing them to remain Catholic. Why don't you just blame the church for not excommunicating them?
The knights of columbus are knights to your face. Double crossing magots. They market tidbits of importance and significance to well intended human beings for money.'
Tell these maggots to put up or shut up... Do you honor the difference between right and wrong. or power and money that roman catholic politics bring..
Then back away and let God be the witness... These maggots.... the upper four percent that can afford to attend the opulent conventions WILL NOT MEET MUSTER... SECRET SOCIETY?
My God! I was about to join this organization! WHAT THE H!?!?
I knew that as soon as I saw Kennedy shake the hand of the Pope rather than kiss his ring, he was a faker! MASS EXCOMMUNICATIONS! MASS EXCOMMUNICATIONS! I DEMAND MASS EXCOMMUNICATIONS!!!!
The world and its affairs are left in the hands of man, no organization is not going to be perfect- that's why gargoyle statues lurk in the world's most beautiful cathedrals to remind us that sin lurks in even the holiest of places. The KofC at all levels have historically made the world a better place, supporting countless charities and worthwhile causes along the way. Perhaps Mr. Vorhis ought to be mindful of the plank in his eye before tending to splinter in the eyes of others.
@roth4kofc If what he says is true should not the knights be held accountability? He does not appear to me to have a plank in his eye. i have emailed the Knights three times and have received no response. he mentions that many Knights are good people but some are not at the national level. Should not a wrong be corrected? Are you a knight? If this is true, do you not wish an answer why the Knights did this?
I am a knight & contacted its HQ's when the child abuse scandel occured in Europe. The Church in Rome seemed to be fumbling its PR efforts. I asked what plans did the Knight's have to help the Church promote the truth. HQ's response was "we have nothing to do with that." It seems the Knight's HQ's ride the back of the Church for their own $ gain. The Catholic laity helped JPII defeat communism. 3 weeks later, Mr. Anderson only offered a prayer for the Pope on the knight's website! That was it?
As a Fellow 3rd Degree Knight, is ironic that you produced this video.
About 2 months ago I sent a letter to my council saying nearly the same thing you have stated. I added in my letter that they will give "Knight of the Month" awards for participaion in fund raising but not for anyone, my self included for catechizing the youth, evangelizing fellow Knights, those who help out with confirmation retreats, ect.
It does seem to be all about insurance and recuiting others for insurance.
Great video! There is an Evil in this Country, and it is spreading far and wide. When so-called Catholics tolerate it, it only accelerates. We need more fire and brimstone from the pulpits of America. When I was in Rome, i visited the Catacombs, and looking back, I get the feeling that we will have to oneday dig new Catacombs to practise our Faith.
If you interviewd as a field agent- then commission is how you get paid. If you have a problem with money, then communism and/or poverty may offer you a better 'career' alternative.

You nailed it. I once had a job interview with the Knights and all the guy talked about was money, money, money, money.
