It's inadequette. On one hand, it's good to see Pakistan from your perspective. I'm so used to the norms here that I take them for granted, to see your fascination over them (tandur, trucks etc) is refreshing. but on the other hand, you did not know where to look for North's unique beauty (although there are travel guides and booklets available). So overall, it was lacking.
the video is exceptionally well made, hats off to you, though it would have been better if we had the privilege to see you in the video too,you did,nt made a video of yourself, quiet strange
@ChangingPak abe lodu kya kabhi is pornistan mera matlab pakistan naam ke is jhannum se bahr gya hai kya tu. jo isko 1 of the best of world bol rha hai. salo china se khairat me ek road mili to kya khus hote ho. tum logo ki khud to kuch banane ki aukat hai nahi.
i have been there, travel by car from Kashgar to Tashkurgan. The border is closed becouse of heavy snow on that time. Really nice trip and nice video. Thanks
Particularly liked the shots from the plane at the end, epic flight that from Skardu, flying past my favourite mountain Nanga Parbat, at 8125m higher than the plane, great pics, better than the ones I took in 1994.
One of my friend share this video on fb, n i just came to youtube to comment, saying , "Thanks, superb video, you have given positive and beautifull words to the world for pakistan"
stefhoffer thanx for posting such nice video of my home town, when ever you go to northern area again play any kind of song, even any indian song they all like it we all are peaceful people we....
As a nation, India is geographically, culturally and politically trapped, isolated and encircled. Now that it has been cut off from rest of Asia, the Indians (unfortunately) have nowhere to go but into the ocean. A look at a map conveys the inevitability of this scenario. For India to survive, it has no choice but to have excellent relations with Pakistan. This is a matter of time.
@tushardesai Thanks for the comment, actually I didn't know, and after searching on Google I only have a vague idea. It has something to do with India and patriotism? At least you don't hear them sing in the video!
@stefhoffer BTW, the song's title literraly means "We love India more than our life", which is kind of true since the Human Development Index (HDI) in Inda is abysmal while the jingoism is disproportionately higher.
Pakistan “RISING” has established itself as part of a very dynamic regional paradigm amalgamating it geographically with Central Asia, Middle East and Europe. While also situated at the gateway to the Arabian Gulf, Pakistan will also have access to the waters of the Caspian Sea, Mediterranean Sea, Black Sea, Arabian Sea, China Sea and the Pacific Ocean. This positions Pakistan at the crossroads to peace and prosperity in the world and economic well-being as well as military clout
This is a wonderful video of a beautiful part of our planet, for sure!!
'ChangingPak' your take on the geopolitics is certainly interesting. I have also recently heard the words "utter chaos" and "the killing fields" used to describe life in Pakistan these days. And, yes, I have lived there and I am in touch daily with people there who know.
Remove nationalism and look at this 'great game' in play AS A GAME & you will soon see this as China's back door.
Your decision to fly instead of going on the road during your last leg of the journey was a great one. Because it offers you a fantastic paranoramic view of the snow mountain ranges from above complete with cloud seas. But was it a decision made based on what you know you would see from above or just a last-minute but nonetheless well-made decision?
@ymhktravel Both actually! The problematic situation South of Hunza at the time made road travel very difficult. At the same time, I had heard about the spectacular views on the Skardu-Islamabad flight, and I wasn't disappointed. Stunningly beautiful area!
